My first LD!
I just had my first LD! The funny thing is that I really don't know how I happened, I went to bed performing MILD but I don't recall RCing in my dream. And I became lucid a bit into the dream so I don't think it was my mantra. But anyway, it was awesome!
Here's my DJ entry:
I was at some sort of outdoor courtyard, at a college. Some guy handed me a piece of chalk and told me to trace the ground around various pieces of furniture. I did so, and then realized I was dreaming. The first thing I did was to stay calm and rub my hands together. I did some various stuff that I can't remember, and then my Mother was there and we were both looking up at the sky. The clouds were circling and starting to form a tornado, and my Mother started to panic. I told her not to worry because this was MY dream and I could change whatever happened, so I closed my eyes and tried to change the weather to a nice sunny afternoon. When I opened them the sky flashed a bit and then did not change. Then I woke up.

Congrats, I definitley did not have the foresight to rub my hands together on my first lucid, I instantly tried to fly and woke up rapidly lol.

Hi,
Congrats on your first lucid :yeah
It might've been result of your excitement for becoming lucid, pure luck or that mantra.
Anyways the most important thingy is that you had a lucid dream afterall...
Your lucid dreaming adventures are only about to begin
So prepare yourself for tons of fun as long as you don't forget about stabilization ;-)
Some hints:
- After becoming lucid be sure to perform stabilization technique.
- Don't worry about waking up just pretend and have confidence that you have unlimited amount of time in lucid dream.
- If you will wake up due to dream destabilizing don't worry, in that case you can try performing DEILD Technique to re-enter lucid dream if you want
- Before falling asleep or somewhere during the day plan out what you want to do in lucid dream.
- Optional Yet Userful Thingy: From time to time or just after you finished stabilizing tell yourself with full confidence ''I'm Dreaming and this is my lucid dream''. It might be helpful thing that could prevent you from losing lucidity during your adventure
I'd suggest you reading up those threads:
Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

Those tutorials are imo one of best ones :-P
Since you've managed to even do stabilization technique at your very first lucid dream then your doing quite fine.
- Goodluck :goodjob2:

First Lucid Dreams are intense I never saw a tornado irl so I would literley piss my pants in fright, Mine was intense becuase I saw Clocks changing time randomanly and really fast like 1-74983659 or something like that in 1 second.
The last dream I almost became lucid...just think DC's Can't get rid of lucitidy. and think about a dream expierence that would be best for you and if you think about it once in the while (glue it in your head)...then you might be able dream lucidy more.

Sweet! I'm sure it's just the first of many more to come! As an aside, most of the lucid dreams I've had in the past few months have occurred without me RCing - something just doesn't seem right and the realization of being in a dream happens instantly - RCing doesn't even come to mind! I'll bet the more observant you are of your environment and events taking place (i.e., asking "Why am I here?" "Why is that person doing what they are doing?" etc.), the easier it will be to attain lucidity. Best wishes!
