      Beginner LD

I Recently found out about LD 4 days ago and I've been waiting for my first and it hasn't happened yet but my question is usually how long is a Lucid dream for a beginner?? Also I don't want to go through paralysis if I force myself to wake up from the dream or just in general. Do you guys have any advice thank you

It's different for everybody. Some make it on the first night, some take weeks and others take months.
Personally i had a LD on my first night but it was not vivid at all and i couldn't control it.
It depends on how confident you are that you can and will achieve it.
Things that will help you are: Dream Journals, Doing a dozen reality checks a day, Meditating and Listening to brainwave entrainment.
If you force yourself to wake up from a dream you will not get a sleep paralysis (it has never happened to me).
I usually wake myself up when I'm having a nightmare but I've never had a SP after that.
If you attempt WILD, then there is a chance that you'll get sleep paralysis (keep in mind that WILD is usually done by experienced lucid dreamers)
If you need any help you can contact me on Skype (ermac92) or just ask someone else for advice
