Methods for getting around in your LD

Didn't see any topics recently about
Getting around once you become lucid.
      So what do you use?
      Portals
      Doors
      Flying
      Spinning
      Commands
      Etcetera...

What has worked? What hasn't ?

For me i use the "what i want is right
around the corner" seems to have
the best results and Need the least
amount of effort to get Where i want
      to be.

Flying and breaking through floors is good if you want a seamless transition similar to "right around this corner" I really like teleporting!
      http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...-teleport.html
A thread I made about specifically teleporting.

Things like having a DC get you there is also awesome. They can work about 50/50 in my dreams, but some people report much higher success in dream character involvement. Not everyone's DCs are built the same, yours are made for you, and are probably way more helpful than mine.

The method I use if I do not care about the story line is sort of teleporting. I just cause the visuals to vibrate and blur and then reshape them into the new scene that I am imagining. This is really the fundamental way teleport works. However, I restrain myself if I am doing a task or trying to take part in a story.

If I have decided not to teleport I enjoy laying down and shifting gravity so that I shoot through scenes like I am bobsledding. For shorter distances I basically ice skate.

      Suicide.

In principle, it really shouldn't work, but it does. I revive in the place I imagine. Well, that is, if I don't wake up from self-inflicted pain.

If it's not that, it's usually either riding Naira, or flying.

How do you conviently suicide? sounds like basic teleporting with a odd twist.

I usually end up in buildings so doors are the most convenient and easy way of transportation.
