hey i got the same problem but i am seeing some progress.
Dont overthink things the only way to do wild is to go back to sleep when you are thinking and thinking and thinking you will not be able to sleep.
so keep the thinking to a low point just think enough to stay aware. also try to mimic your sleep breathing and relax your muscles to the fullest.
i sometimes use a guided lucid meditation to help me with the sleep breathing and relaxing. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlWeaVWBkZI)
this is wat worked for me i didnt have a wild yet but i had vibrations and hypnagogia. in my experience my vibrations are so extreme that they shock me out of my wild and then i cant do it anymore.......
Try to keep a clear mind. Also, a good thing to do is to stay in the dark. When your eyes see light it triggers this thing in the brain and it starts creating chemicals used to wake you up. I find it helpful to draw out my breaths. and even say a mantra and for half of it you breathe in and the other half you breathe out. I did that not even during a WILD and it started to feel like I was floating. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the advice guys! I did some WBTB last night, and I nearly had a DILD... I woke up instantly, when I got the thought that it might be a dream.
Good job and keep it up, if you had a spit second lucid dream, it won't be long until you have a longer lucid dream :) Well done!
Okay, thanks for the tips, and thanks for the support, Percy! :D
My WILD attempt succeded! I had a VERY vived LD, and it lasted for almost 5 minutes! Thanks for the help everyone! :D
when you wake up during the night, are you trying not to move? did you open your eyes? i know this is hard to learn, but try not moving or even opening your eyes when you awaken, and just wait
You're reffering to DIELD. What I'm doing is WBTB WILD so I can move ;)
Deild ? :p
DEILD* sorry
A little tip from me.
I find that if I WBTB, usually naturally at the end of a dream (end of REM), I can't then LD until the next scheduled period of REM comes round. My sleep cycles are typical at 1.5 to 2 hours long, so later in the night the REM is about 1/2 hour long.
This means I have to wait for between 1 and 1.5 hours before the WILD works and I LD.
The difficult bit is dozing without going to sleep. If I go to sleep I almost always just have another standard dream, and wake up at the end of the next REM, very frustrated!
So, don't be too concerned if you have to wait that long. It just takes patience.
I guess a better way would be for me to wake after REM, set an alarm for 1 hour, go back to sleep then try to DEILD. Trouble is I have a sleeping partner who would not be best pleased with that.....
