Sensory deprivation tank for lucid dreaming? Any experiences?

I known pretty long about this thing where people go to this tank which idea is to get rid of all senses. Well when people do this their brain for doesnt get any outside stimulation and they seem to experience pretty crazy stuff. Seriously check out this video reactions when they get out of the tank after staying there 1 hour its so hilarious :D:D!!
Just skip to 5:30 and see the first guy reactions its crazy. Its much funnier if you watch the whole video though. Seeing how they entered there and came out like a complete weirdo. He looks like hes taken something :D.

So does anybody have any experiences of this?
I think it would be really interesting experience wild in there.

I had a samahdi tank session once. I've spent 90 minutes in the tank. For me it was nothing special.
Relaxing... yes.
I had time to think about many things but for me there was nothing psychedelic or hypnagogic. Maybe some floaters need some more trials to get better effects.
After I left the tank I had a very intense visual strobe effect which is a sign that I was really relaxed.
Two days after I had a lucid dream.

Maybe its same as obe and lucid dreaming. That you just have to have these experiences naturally or to induce them. Just have read over the years people claims about what they had experienced in there. I also thought those reactions where just funny how screwed up they were once they steped out (Although it could have been act for advertisement.).

I bought a groupon for a sensory deprecation float a couple months ago and actually ended up doing it yesterday (was going to ask some questions regarding other people's experiences in my workbook but this works even better). I had been told by the friends that recommended it that their senses were much more vivid for several days; that was the effect I was hoping for. My experience was nothing like that or like the video. Just floating around for a bit (I think that I dozed off but no dreams).

I was discussing it with a roommate after and he brought up that for someone like me (who meditates for upwards of 40 minutes sometimes) being alone in the dark isn't really anything new. The experience might be a lot more pronounced for an extreme extrovert or someone who never allows themselves to be alone with their thoughts.

All that said, last night was the first time since I start keeping a dream journal (~2 months) that I didn't remember anything. Related? Who knows. Could also be that I've started taking 2 Super Sleep tablets (100mg -Theanine,15 mg - 5-HTP, 1.5 mg - Melatonin each) before bed.

I would also be interested in hearing other peoples' experiences. I'll probably try it again at least once now that I know what to expect.

Perhaps you guys tried it out after long time of being awake?
It's similar situation to naps. If you take naps too late you won't have any dreams...

Perhaps trying it after being awake for like one or three hours could do the trick :-P

I can say for meditating still and just staying still is really different. If i meditate stuff starts happen always and usually some distractions outside ruins you meditation. If i just sit still and think its same as keeping eyes shut and doing nothing. I think if you go to those tanks and since there arent any outside distraction you could experience pretty weird stuff while meditating.

I'll definitely try it again when I'm well rested and sooner after waking up. Hopefully I can get to a more notable dream or meditative state rather than just sleeping. I'm also going to try to get some friends to try it also, to get a few more samples in there aha.

The other thing that might be worth noting is that I'm fairly tall (6'3"/190cm ish) so my fingers/toes would occasionally touch the walls of the tank. That definitely took away from the feeling of floating in complete emptiness.
