Thread: Can we meet in person as DV members?

Why not just have a world-wide DV-OOB convention?

I would rather meet incognito, as a dreamviews member, posing as a person, to tell you the truth.

Wasn't there already plans for some kind of dreamviews meet?

I already see splash at school, & we are awesome friends. We are still trying to meet each other either in a LD or in a ......S_____...........

Sci Fi Nesgirl. I'll say it for you. Most everyone here has it burned into our heads lol It’s just that I don't see anyone in person whose interested in dreams and thought It would be interesting to meet people in person that have the same interest. When riding a motorcycle it’s like you not only meet the friendliest people but also it’s almost like you can read each other’s mind. Maybe not exactly but if someone stood there and looked at your car you would probably say, hay what are you looking at. When on a bike it’s almost expected that someone will eyeball your machine.

Thanx, that would be cool though, if only other members lived in Utah....but I don't Seeker is about to fly down to SLC, so really the only person I can meet w/is Splash (BTW, we DSed last night!! )

You know, you guys can meet up anytime you like. Only reason I have gotten to meet so many is that I travel on business.

I could meet tyrantt23 if I weren't so lazy. He only lives 90 miles from me.

I'm near SLC (remember Nes, you're not the only one here in UT!), so I could meet there. Hey! Why don't we all go skiing/snowboarding this winter! That'd be awesome!

Heck yeah! I am going to Park City this December to take some ultra skiing lessons (I am learning how to do more Diamonds, & soon, they are going to teach me to do double diamonds!)

The reason I suggested different chapters (east coast, west coast. etc) is because of the distances.

In actuality, I visit the east coast to visit my Mom's side of the family, but only once a year (& this once was last month!). And I usually don't go much further than Lagoon or Park City, except during Thanksgiving!

My sister just moved to North Carolina, so I'll be there next summer, and I'll also be visiting family in Iowa on the way. I'll find out the dates ASAP to see if anybody can meet up with me at either.

Nes--I'm still afraid of most diamonds, I usually stick with easier hills. I've only gone skiing twice and snowboarding twice, but I learned snowboarding much easier. I can do most stuff, and I'm ambi-footed (What's the proper word for that? IS there a proper word for that?) so I can go regular or goofy, but I prefer goofy. My heelsides a bit iffy, but my toeside is excellent. Anyway, ever been to Snow Basin? I usually go there, except when I'm short on cash, then it's Nordic Valley ($10 to get in, but the snow's usually really crappy and the hills are pretty sucky as well). I don't usually do Park City 'cuz it's too far away.

Majority of members are American. Not a great deal of UKers here.

No, it is a bit too far away from us, too!
Well, I don't blame you about the diamonds, b/c the blue squares I think are funner, but when I take skiing lessons, that is how it is!

I'll try to find a way out there sometime this winter, but no guaruntees. I wonder if there's any other Utah DV members out there who'd be interested...

East or west North Carolina. I live about 30 miles from NC.
