Will do a lot of RCs too, today, just to make sure :offtobed:
I've found in the past that simply deciding that you'll be lucid tonight - even if you forget to perform any techniques, is often sufficient if you have plenty of past experience getting lucid. This is true in a lot of other areas of life too - sometimes just making a decision massively influences the outcome.
Although I don't know the study off hand since a friend told me about it, there was a study where they gave three groups of kids instruments to learn. All three groups would then be split into three sub-groups, the first of which practised for 3 hours a day every day for a month, the second of which practised for 1 hour a day every day for a month, and the third of which simply practised for 1 hour a WEEK for a month.
The three main groups then made different decisions. Group 1 consciously decided to make the commitment to learn to play the instrument for one month. Group 2 made the commitment to learn to play for one year. Group 3 decided to commit to the instrument for life.
All of them only practised for one month - at the end of the month, various skill tests were done, and Group 3 (life time commitment) far out-performed the other groups. What's even more interesting is the kids in group 3 did so much better than the other groups, that those who only practised for a single hour a week, did better than the 3 hours a day students in the other two groups. They learned more in 1/21th of the time, simply because they were committed to playing for the rest of their lives.
Sometimes just making the commitment/decision can be some powerful stuff. So with that said, here goes:
I'm gonna be lucid tonight! ;)
I hope this works.
Yes! Hope it works this time...
I will have a lucid dream too
I love this post in its entirety. People don't seem to realise that with many things in life, your mentality is half the battle. It's all about the willpower and drive as well as inner motivation. That's what makes us successful and fulfilled.
I believe in this thread's magic powers though ;)
tonight I'm fiddling with my new raspi 3 and my old ZEO. There should be some lucidity in there, right? :p
I'm gonna have a lucid tonight....and a bit more community hall points thanks to posting. :P If only there was a game on dream views where you could get a bunch of points daily just by playing.
