What are your dream-related resolutions for 2015? (Or as I like to call them, New Year's Resolucids! :movingmrgreen:)
Consistent sleep pattern? Better recall? Personal best dream count? Lucid tasks?
I have a few goals but I haven't decided on mine yet. Maybe I'll be inspired by your ideas!
I can only think of two right now:
Start the 100 LD alpha version of my universe.
I need like 3 more items in order to get it up and running. I have 2 right now. The easy two though, and I am still running tests with them. After the tests on these 5 are done I can start the trials for my universe until I perfect it.
No off months
an off month would be less LDs than days in the month. :/
Woah, looking at my goals last year I realize that I have not gotten any. :( I realize that I got only mildly better at LDing and then got worse the last three months. This last couple weeks have shown me that I am better than my sleep schedule allows. I must keep it up in spite of children! lol. I am not as worried about my LD count now, because I know that I will hit legendary level this year (over 1000 finally :D)

That means, by default, to be more consistent with LDing and dream journalism. Dream journals are my weak point sometimes...

My New Year's Resolucids is to keep going on the path of lucid dreaming. I've had extreme down moods this year and it has caused me to stop practises a couple of times. I'm so mad at myself for that. So hopefully I'll keep positive and keep moving forward. Oh, and I'm hoping to keep doing DILD practises and mindful meditation, and get much better dream recall!
I'm also going to make a goal to run around naked in a lucid dream. Yep.
I don't like making NY resolutions since they seem to always fall off and LDing is too important to me to do that. However, goals are important, so:
+ recall: build it higher, consistently remember epic vivid dreams on a regular basis: be *there* in the dreams on a consistent, regular basis
+ sleep well, with a regular schedule. GO TO BED ALREADY!
+ consistent, regular exercise and brain/body healthy diet: a healthy brain means excellent dreaming and an exercised body means great sleep
+ bring lucidity frequency and quality to the next level: build a sharp, keen, vigilant, mindful, reflective waking self-awareness and memory. Intent, confidence, positive attitude, I AM A LUCID DREAMER!
+ MEDITATE already! On a regular basis, stop putting it off.
Definitely this:
Develop much more fully the relationship between my conscious, subconscious, and unconscious aspects. In practical terms, to get a working relationship going, so that
- I (conscious aspect) will be alerted in a timely fashion, if something of great importance to the other aspects occurs (in other words: get an early warning),
- I may change the behaviour of my less conscious aspects more to my liking (in other words: self-hypnosis).
All from within dreams - lucid or otherwise.
Mine will be trying to keep my motivation up, also becoming better at WILD :)

A better dreamjournal. I suppose. :roll::deal:
Lets raise the bar little bit. I will discover the key to stay fully lucid 24/7. If it doesnt happen 2015 then to save trouble its gonna be my 2016 goal aswell and so on... Keeping it simple makes it much easier to send message to unconscious/subconscious mind.
Thats my goal :).
My goals:400+ LDs next year and become proficient at dream control, stabilization, and DEILDing.
Resolutions: Get my first lucid dream............................................. ......... T.T
Great thread! My New Year's Resolucids :chuckle: are:
-Get 7+ hours of sleep at least 4 nights per week.
-Build at least 1 persistent device or location that I can access at will.
-Have fun. Life is meant to be good, and lucid dreaming is one of the best things in life. :content:

My resolution is going to be perhaps practicing DEILD all the time with no break days ;-)
At wake up using Micheal Raduga's Indirect Technique for DEILD
At bedtime repeating mantra and setting intention for remembering to remain motionless and keep eyes closed when waking up to perform DEILD :-P

My new year's Resolucids:
- To have an even more amazing lucid year than I had this year. (This year my lucids really stepped up from previous years, so I'm sure it will continue to do so :D)
- To increase my focus on what I want to do and actually do it. I find that I seem to change my goals quite easily from night to night, depending on my mood or life circumstances and end up not getting much done. :undecided:
- To learn how to properly incubate dreams.
- To continue learning more about myself. Getting more answers, though they always end up providing more questions...
- To have more precognitive dreams. A lucid precognitive perhaps, since I haven't had one of those before. (I know not everyone believes in it, but I don't care)
• For Everyone to achieve their resolucids, or in the very least to have a great lucid year with lots of growth and new experiences! :okbyenow:

I dream of being animals sometimes (like a penguin). Also sometimes when watching David Attenborough I space-out to sense what some animal is sensing.Quote:

I imagine being that snake, living in the "here and now" meditating for 2 weeks.
Then, there are big saltwater crocodiles. If they get a big feed they won't even think of food for a month or two. Some just swim the ocean or be still with just it's eyes and nostrils above the water, hour upon hour, ... in the hear and now, ... with nothing on its mind, ... just seeing, ... hearing, ... smelling, ... feeling, ... (awareness - meditation).
Spacing-out with animals to leave the cacophony of the human mind behind and tune-in to some animal mind is deep meditation indeed.

I'll change my LD goal to 1,000.
I tried that last year and didn't get as much progress due to the hectic nature of my life this last year. I have a new vigor for LDing taking into this next year. I hope to get this much as well. :) It is gonna be an awesome year for us either way!Quote:

I've decided 2015 will be the "year of the (awareness of the) breath." It just clicked that the breath unifies everything for me: mindfulness (breath is used to "center" yourself, stop, and "enter the present moment"), meditation (*all* about the breath), relaxation for sleep (I relax more and more on every breath), RC (nose pinch is my RC of choice [despite its recent failure :P]), and, with this post I found (one of the few useful posts I've ever found outside of DV), I really decided that's what it's all about for me. With my continuing-to-improve dream awareness, I need a boost to state awareness which just isn't punching through the fog of the dream state despite strong day work, somehow. Focus and lucidity are one in the same. Determination and lucidity are one in the same.

In 2015, I will:
- become comfortable and confident with WILD
- make WBTB seem less daunting by changing my perception, thinking of WBTB as an exciting opportunity to have a lucid dream, rather than a struggle to drag myself out of bed
- incorporate MILD meditation into my regular routine

Woah! I forgot that I used to be super annoyed by WBTB too! I thought that it was like the devil and didn't want to do it, but I did make myself and now when I WBTB I am super excited that I have more of a chance to LD and will have better dreams. :) thinking about it!Quote:

In 2015, I will be more aware in my daily life. I will also be more diligent about improving my recall while I'm in dreams and when I wake up.
For me, it's to put an end to the stagnation/plateauing of my overall LD skill over the last several years: It's time to start doing unprecedented, amazing stuff again. That's pretty much it!
My current ideas for achieving this:
- Improve self-awareness
- Improve conscious access to memory during LDs
Simple goal, simple plan.
Mine are basic:
- Improve dream recall.
- Attain lucidity again. If I can have one LD a week, that would be wonderful.
- Don't get discouraged by slow progress.
Having my first lucid dream is all I want :-(

I think a RESOLUCID (lol) for me, is to be more consistent with my dream journal. I used to journal everyday, but slacked off. My excuse was I didn't have time in the mornings, BUT NO EXCUSES THIS YEAR. I would like to journal daily, but once a week is my minimum.
Not sure about resolutions yet, but I enjoyed your sloth-info EbbTide000!

This is going to come in separate parts, but there are some things:
- I'd like to give this indirect-methods-Raduga-phase-DEILD a proper testing, motivated by Searcher's successes and my intuitive feeling, this could be working great.
- Then afterwards, if it works or not, I'd really like to get my first "proper" WILD with direct techniques.
I dream of learning a tech which works at any time incl. upon going to bed.
- Get at least five sessions of lucid darting in, and see if that benefits my game.
- Go to space.
Its a bit late but I've had i since the first so:
-Keep my dream recall to at least a dream every night, or as close to as possible
-Work my way up to at least having 1 lucid a week
-Stay motivated for the ENTIRE YEAR rather than going in bursts of a few weeks.
Ps. 100th post and I hink i've just got 1000 community hall points lol, woohoo!
How is everyone doing now that six and a half months are done?
Still working on setting up my "alpha version" of my dreams. I have my inventory set up and I am training with my dream dad to become better at "anti lucid control" and I have had a couple off months I think. I haven't been as good with keeping track of my lds, I know the total, but not weekly and monthly like normal. :)

Despite not sticking to my resolucids yet, I have had a great 6 months of lucid dreaming, both in terms of frequency and positive experiences. :)

WBTB: F (I just hate WBTB, what can I say, gotta keep working that waking up formula)
LDs: going on 30, about my steady long-term average of 1/week (but they come and go in streaks)
Dreaming: Density/frequency of epics on the continued slow rise since the 2nd half of 2014. Lots more semi-lucids in 2015. Recall ups and downs corresponding with life stress and sleep schedule. Some really truly amazing non/semi-lucid epics. Fun fun fun, can't live without these!
Best hot streak yet (on a business trip in May): 10 LDs in about 8 days.

Dreamer, fryingman, dolphin. Nice to see you guys enjoying yourself with LDing. I am working on something in my dreams right now (if you read my latest DJ entry you will see my attempt) that is super fun and exploratory and both my waking and sleeping mind agree that it is awesome. :)
I think that the thing I have learned the most this year is to get dream goals that I can be excited about at all times. In Dream and out. Because sometimes dream me thinks that waking me has boring goals. :P
I still feel it's a little early to say for sure, though I'm seeing some hints that I'm headed toward major progress (just in small, very gradual steps, rather than in major rapid breakthroughs)—eventually, if not by the end of this year! One thing is certain, though: I've learned a lot of interesting stuff over the last 8 or so months that I never knew before. I've been experimenting with and learning about self-awareness/meditation/self-observation, and I'm becoming very familiar with the nature and content of my dreams, regularly recognizing day residue in dream content (sometimes even in cases where it would appear to be completely unrecognizable). Even things like my waking-life thoughts, daydreams, dreamlets, dreams, and even HI/HH, which all look like totally different things on the surface, seem to start looking more and more like the same thing the more I study them.Quote:
