      Rapid dream recall improvement.

I've been wanting to get back into lucid dreaming for a while but decided to wait to I truly felt the desire to do it before I got to work on it. I just got that desire back a about two days ago. Perhaps part of it is because my dream recall has recently improved without me doing anything to improve it. I went and bought a journal yesterday and I wrote down last nights dream and the dream before that. I didn't sleep at all yet today so I don't have a third dream yet. Whenever a question about improving dream recall up the go to answer is get a dream journal. Well I already got one so my reason to ask this is I'm looking for extra methods to increase my dream recall even faster. I want to get my dream recall up as fast as possible. Eventually I hope to get my dream recall back up to how it was during my time on seroquel and maybe even better recall then that.

You can use mantras. For me they work like a charm(if it had the same effect on my lucid count hell I had dozen of them by now)
Since I started using them I don't even need to attempt remembering them. The fragments keep coming and coming till it's whole.
And if you wake up naturally once or two every night, cool. If not use mantras for that(I don't like alarms but use them if you like). This way you'll be able to recall and journal more dreams.
This thread may also help you:MMR
      Good luck with that

Take 5-10 minutes before bed to sit with your eyes closed and feel yourself being still and silent, look around the room then just go to sleep. =]

If you're being distracted by a lot of thoughts filling up your head, sit longer.

The best way to get a lot of dream recall is to set strong intention to notice all your little wakings in the night and to remember your dreams. Keep a voice journal handy and quickly make voice notes (I like this best since you can do it in the dark and much fast than writing, and go right back to sleep). In the peak of the times I've done this I can record 16+ dream scenes per night (4 wakings, 4 dreams/scenes per waking).

The way to steadily build and keep up recall is to ALWAYS reach for recall every single time you find yourself awake, without exception, in sickness or in health, when well-rested or when exhausted. Never ever take a vacation from trying for dream recall and it will just build and build….

The big thing about dream journals is to get as much detail as you possibly can. Just having a dream journal is going to improve your recall a lot but if you are really motivated and get down all the details you will find you can improve even faster.

^^ That, and you also get a detailed collection of your adventures to enjoy reading and perhaps learn from, later on.

That, IMO, is the best part. It's what makes me want to keep doing it!

Definitely take this advice. Every time you wake up, start recording your dreams and it usually just keeps flowing the more you think about your last dreams.

I don't have a good short term memory in the waking life, so I feel that going over my previous dreams in my journal helps exercise my memory in general.
