Where should I start and Dream Leaf?

Hello everyone. Lately, I have been wondering precisely where I should start in my lucid dreaming endeavors. I do not feel that I am the sort of person who will take months, or even weeks, to learn this skill, seeing as I had a short and not very aware, but still lucid, dream on the very night I discovered lucid dreaming. So far I have written in my dream journal consistently for four days. (I didn't have time to this morning :oops:) I am a little bit disappointed that I broke my resolution; I was doing so well! Nevertheless, I have subscribed to the World of Lucid Dreaming's (***LINK REMOVED***) 10 steps to lucid dreams curriculum, and just reached the reality check lesson yesterday. I also read through this forum's lovely beginner's guide to lucid dreams. However, I have yet to yield any results. I am in no way disheartened or doubtful that I will in the near future, but I do wonder when I will have a lucid dream. Regardless, I would love to take a peek at any of your favorite lucid dreaming articles or websites if you would be so kind as to leave a link in your response :wink:.
In my Eagerness to have my first lucid dream, I stumbled upon new supplement called Dream Leaf (***LINK REMOVED***). This product, which is said to increase dream recall and promote frequent lucid dreams, gets extremely good ratings. I do not at all doubt its effectiveness, however, I am concerned as to its contents. Since I am only thirteen, I doubt my parents would ever allow me to consume such a supplement, but even if they were less overprotective, would this supplement be safe for young children?

I'm not to fond of supplements, so I won't try and comment on them too much, but it seems you have a good attitude, which really is the first step. Stick at it and keep the positive attitude up and you'll be sure to succeed, once you've got, say, thirty or so dreams written down I'd start reading through them and noting down the similarities between them as to get a list of dream signs! :)

I suggest starting with the MILD and DEILD techniques. I believe that practicing these techniques together while improving your dream recall and self-awareness will give you lucid dreams the quickest.

Personally, just from looking at the names of the steps, I don't believe world of Lucid Dreaming's 10 steps to lucid dreams curriculum is at all a very efficient plan to achieve lucid dreams.

Dreamleaf it just a dietary supplement, so I think it would be safe to take, as long as you aren't on any other medications. If you were to take it though, it would be like training wheels, or cheating! :lol: Ideally, you want to be able to lucid dream without supplements, otherwise you'll be paying lots of money for something that should be free.

Lucid dreaming is a skill like any other and it takes time to learn it. There are no shortcuts or magic pills that would really help you, just like you can't learn playing piano overnight. So, I suggest to take your time, make a little program of your own and follow it. You can then come here and ask us for feedback every step of the way. We also have FREE classes in the DVA.

Checked dreaming leaf ingredients: 5-HTP, mugwort, huperzine-A, choline bitartrate, DHEA. Personally, I don't think that young people need to take such strong supplements due to their brains being in good shape and also, because there may be some side effects.
