I want to lucid dreaming about this guy so badly

Hello everyone. I am new here so i am sorry if i had done some mistakes. I came to this website to learn from you guys on how to lucid dreaming easily. I managed to lucid dreaming a lot back then but now for some reason, it is to no avail even if i tried so hard. I want to dream about this fictional character from a video game called chrono cross. His name is lynx. He is an anthropomorphic cat that looked so hot and sexy. He is so handsome. The only way i can meet him is by lucid dreaming right? I want to hug him so badly in my dream but he just wont appeared there eventhough i tried so hard thinking about him. I need some good techniques from you people to dream of him. He is too sexy that i am so desperate to meet him in my dream. Please help me. Sorry for being annoying.

There is no easy lucid dreaming, unless you are extremely lucky or find a miracle. You can start here

Sorry to sound ignorant again but when i clicked the link you gave me, there were so many options. Which one do i choose? I am new here sorry. It looks complicated.

And barry, i admit that one pic that you chose of him looks intimidating but he looks gorgeous on the other pics.

You can start by visualizing yourself interacting with him directly before a REM cycle (early morning). Wake up, use bathroom, get a drink, etc. Then in bed calmly visualize and form an intention to be lucid upon seeing him. See if that works.

In the meantime, check out Naiya's Simple MILD technique and Puffins-DILD-Guide (can't post links at the moment, you can search those up on the forum or Google them).

You can do what ThreeCat said and later when you need more techniques check the links and begin reading. It's likely you'll need much more than two tutorials if you want more than a few lucids.

Before that... is lucid dreaming dangerous for someone? I want to know the risk first before progressing with those methods. I dont want to end up being slaughtered by lynx. And i want to express that you guys are the friendliest people i ever met in any forums. You guys didnt make fun of me eventhough i like something so abnormal.

No, it's not any more dangerous than normal dreaming. Just like in a nightmare, if something attacks you, you aren't physically hurt when you wake up. On the mental and emotional level, however, it can have very real effects, the emotions felt are as real as anywhere, so it would be best to talk to your doctor before attempting lucid dreaming if you have any mental illnesses or disorders, just to be safe. Especially for people who have disorders that already make it difficult for them to differentiate between reality and fantasy.

Lucid Dreaming is the exactly same thing as normal dreaming, except the awesome fact that you know you are dreaming.
And lucid dreams are almost always highly rewarding and pleasant, and at least in my case they tend to remain quite calm unless I intentionally try to change them.

You can however experience pain and other unpleasant sensations in a lucid dream, however the feeling of dream pain tends to be much milder and stop almost instantly.
But you probably won't experience any pain in a lucid dream anytime soon anyway since your mind will be occupied by countless other things, like trying to fly or seeking out an attractive dream character or something.

I think that the only case when lucid dreaming might be dangerous is if someone already has problems telling the difference between waking life and dreams.
For example, it might be dangerous to people who suffer from schizophrenia since those people have a messed up view of reality, and hear voices in their head and imagine weird and random things that don't make any sense, and in that case lucid dreaming could very likely give them an even worse grip of reality.
But if you don't suffer from any kind of psychosis, then lucid dreaming should be totally safe to you and actually extremely fun.
People have even reported that they have used lucid dreaming to get rid of various anxieties, and developed as individuals and got a deeper view of life itself.
For these reasons, I personally consider lucid dreaming to be the mental equivalent of regular physical exercise.

Thanks everyon. Now i wont feel hesitate to try it. I dont have scizophrenia and can differentiate easily between reality and dream. What i am just scared is that i dont want to experience sleep paralysis as it is lame. One problem though, when i think and imagine about lynx while closing my eyes to sleep, my mind seems to wander aimlessly and.think about something else accidentally when i am about to enter rem. How do i overcome this? Is this normal?

The state of being paralyzed during sleep - usually called "REM atonia" - is completely normal and in fact essential for your survival, because it stops you from acting out your dreams in waking life.
Your brain treats dreamed experiences exactly as if they happened in waking life, so if you dream about running then you will try to do the same thing in bed as well, and REM atonia stops you from doing that.
This also explains why people tend to move their eyes a lot during the REM stage;
it's the eye movements that they do during a dream at that point.

Some people sometimes wake up shortly before the paralysis has worn off, and yes, this could indeed be a very scary experience.
However, I have never heard of anyone who has felt the paralysis for longer than a couple minutes, so the best way to endure this is to remember that it is totally normal and that it will wear off in a moment.
I have also read on various Lucid Dreaming sites that you can even stop the paralysis yourself immediately by just holding your breath for a few seconds.

You could try some kind of mantra in order to maintain your focus on what you want to dream about.
In your case you could tell yourself over and over "tonight I am going to be Lynx from Chrono Cross", while you also imagine as vividly as possible what you want to do in that dream.

Haha. Not becoming lynx. I want to meet him Instead. How am i suppose to hug him if i become him? Sorry for asking a lot of questions but does being optimistic helps one to LD easier. What if that person lacks of self esteem? I am getting interested on LD. I mean how can someone not love meeting a person that he/she drool over in the dream. Oh, if i be able to dream of him and give him a super hug, it would be the brightest day of my life. I am quite jealous in a good way that you managed to LD a lot.

Being optimistic does help I think, you may need to practice for a at least a few weeks before you get an LD.

The three most important steps for lding are:

1. Writing down your dreams
2. Reality checks - question seriously if you are dreaming, then do something that proves it's not a dream.
3. Think about lding just before you go to sleep

but wait! in addition to what the others said, you should also be good at dream summoning.

entering LD is the first step but you also need to be good at creating things in your dreams then you can bring that Cat from your mind into your reality inside the dream.

you don't want to get LD but then become unable to do anything and then just hanging around your own home and passing through the walls will be your only choice. it happens a lot for me but i hope you have a better chance. for example, i wanted to create a demon in LD but what came out was a bunch of non-sense woods attached to each other. then i preferred to do other things.

so have a look at some thread about dream control too.

Yaya, if i were you, i would summon this lynx. I actually still having trouble imagining a romantic relationship with him. I just remind myself while closing my eyes that i want to hug him. I want my LD to last longer. I've tried imagining him but i find out that whenever i almost enter a deep sleep(i guess i almost succeed to enter LD) while reminding myself to meet this handsome cat, i could barely breath. Why is this? Is this ever happened to one of you when you guys were about to enter LD? Do you guys understand my situation?

Sounds like your really motivated to see this dream character. But it also sounds like you might be trying to rush yourself into having a lucid dream. Just relax and imagining is fine but don't expect to fall asleep and enter the lucid dream so quickly. There is a right time for WILDs and there is a right time for DILDs. I recommend you try doing DILDs more than WILDs since its easier for beginners. I prefer to realize i'm dreaming in a dream than to WILD honestly. Perhaps you could barely breathe because you wanted to WILD so badly that you were holding your breathe without noticing you were. It actually happened to me once and it was scary for me because i heard a buzzing/long beep sound and felt off. But when i realized what i was doing i stopped and was fine. : P I only held my breathe for like a few seconds anyways I think.

The easiest way to lucid dream, I think, is to keep a dream journal, become familiar with your common dream signs, get in the habit of doing reality checks during the day, have a mantra while going back to sleep (visualization is good too), and to help with focus you could do meditation.
Once you begin having lucid dreams you'll need to practice stabilization and dream control.
All of this takes a good bit of practice and it might still take a while to have a satisfying lucid dream. But it's totally worth all the effort, so I hope this doesn't dissuade you.
Stick around on the forums, everyone's really helpful and there's lots of tips all over the place.

I used to play Chrono Cross so much... such a good game. The golden area of RPGs Chrono Cross, The Legend of Dragoon, FFVII, FFVIII... so legit growing up with those.

DawnEye11, omg! The way you described it, that was exactly the way i was doing to achieve LD. You're right, i did rushed to lucid dreaming about this lynx. So, i am not the only one experiencing this. I just cant help being rushed because he is too damn handsome. I want to hug his muscular body so bad. I wont even bother to learn about how to LD if my male cat can grow muscular human body like him but now i have to. I am really desperate to master LD. I'll try your suggestion on DILD the next time i hit my pillow.

Insideout, actually i dont try dream journal and reality check yet. Yeah, everybody here in this forum is really helpful and friendly towards the others. It is hard to find a forum where people dont fight each other like this one.
