This thread brought to you by a hecka lot of caffeine and 4 hours of sleep.
IT'S MAAAAAAAY! Time for flowers and no school and happiness and stuff. So put away your Justin Timberlake gifs ("It's gonna be May"? More like "It gone done did be May") and prepare your partially asleep bodies for May's DreamViews Buddy Program!
First, a special thanks to ~Dreamer~ and AnotherDreamer for helping with the pairings this week while I was pulling 4am-5am nights finishing stuff for finals (these are dark times for me *shudders*). And of course, thanks to everyone who applied for this month. Unfortunately, we weren't able to fulfill all the mentor requests this month, but we have such a great group, that I think we'll be fine.
So hold on to your butts. Here are the buddy listings, in no particular order:
Now that you have your partners, the fun part is getting to know them! Because this isn't the DreamViews Random Stranger Program, you gots to become buddies! So to help get past that first initial awkward phase, here's some icebreaker questions (thankfully, not as many as last month, I learned my lesson the hard way...).
- What was your favorite dream ever? How about your worst nightmare?
- What was the earliest dream you remember?
- What are some of your current dream goals?
- If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?
- Toilet paper rolled over top or underneath?
- Have you ever been mistaken for anyone famous? (A lot of people say I look like Bo Burnham.)
- Describe an interesting experience you had the last time your power went out.
- If you were a pirate, what would your name be?
- If you had to enter a competition for the "Most Uselessly Unique Talent," what would your talent be?
- And finally, finish this sentence: I think the world would be a better place if everyone ______.
So after you've had enough fun calling yourself Captain Nadabeard and describing your amazing talent to peel off any sticker without leaving residue, the next step is the DREEEEEAMS. Because this isn't the WakeViews Buddy Program, this is... ah shoot, I used that joke already. Anyway, here's some different challenges you can try out if you're feeling adventurous. Post your successes and failures in this thread, and (of course) share them with your buddies! They are ranked by difficulty, so try whichever ones you feel up to:
Beginner
- Report your dreams each night to your buddy, even if you only remember small fragments (just the action of doing this can help improve your recall).
- Have your buddy appear in a dream of yours.
Intermediate
- Report at least one dream per night to your buddy.
- Summon your buddy in a lucid.
- Visit your buddy at their job/school. Describe what it looks like and their reaction.
Expert
- Report at least two dreams per night to your buddy.
- Race your buddy to the top of a mountain in a lucid.
- Go on an adventure with your buddy to take the ring back to Mordor. (That's a place, right? I never was a huge fan of LotR)
- Ask a DC who he/she likes better, you or your buddy.
"But spellbee, the bee of spells, how can I promote this super amazing program and tell everyone that it's awesome and stuff. Also you're the coolest. <3." Don't worry, I get this question a lot (from myself, in my head. It's all hypothetical, really). Fear not, just copy and paste the code below into your signature to show the world how you and your buddy are the bestest and that other people should try to be bestester than you, but they won't be because you are the bestestest.
HTML Code:

And that's pretty much it, the rest is up to you! So have fun, and if you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to shoot me a PM.
Miss out on the program this month? Be sure to apply for next month's buddy program here: http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...on-thread.html
