If you actually want to lucid dream you'll want to use a technique otherwise you're just running blind.
Also some would say not using any techniques would be a technique lol...
which technique works the best ? and less practice am just so lazy :lol:
Being lazy won't help you also you'll have to find out what works best for you.
Just a tip don't do one technique then after a week of no results you change to another one, you won't get anywhere if you don't have patience.

The time it takes to have your first lucid dream will depend a lot on how well you stick to your technique and how motivated you are. I personally like using WBTB (wake back to bed, that is, sleeping for 5-6 hours, then getting up for a short while and going back to sleep) in combination with MILD (mnemonic induced lucid dream, in which before you go back to bed you repeat a mantra saying next time you dream, you will realize it and become lucid). You should look up more information about these techniques, this is just a brief description. I named these because they are the ones which work best for most people.
Apart from this, you should get into the habit of asking yourself several times a day if you could be dreaming. And if you have a specific goal which can make you feel super motivated to have a lucid dream, all the better.

Edit: I don't know how long it can take to have your first lucid, but if you keep at it, maybe a month. Some people even had their first lucid the first night after they learnt about it, not my case though.
Many think lucid dreaming is like cooking, you follow some predetermined steps (peel and chop this, boil that, mix it and stick it in the oven for 30min) and you get a lucid dream. But is actually an art form. If you wanted to learn to play music it would take you from a few days to a few weeks to be able to play a song, and it would take quite more time to be at a "pro" level, but meanwhile you would pratice regularly and consistently, and learn to enjoy the practice. Same thing with lucid dreaming.
Now, there is quite a few things you should include in your practice (like dream journaling and seriously consider whether you are dreaming or not several times every day during your daily life) but probably the single most effective technique (work vs results) is combining "Wake Back To Bed" with the "Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream" technique.

Absolutely this is correct! Lucid dreaming is much more a journey of self-discovery relating to sleep, dreaming, and consciousness in general. It does not lend itself to instant gratification or the impatient. It is indeed a life-long discipline. However, you can begin observing results (dream recall and experiencing lucidity) in the short-term, but results build slowly over time with dedicated, continual practice and experimentation.
Forgot to answer your first question:
Some people learn to lucid dream without techniques. AFAIK, many of those usually had frequent nightmares and somehow got to the conclusion that they did not realize they were dreaming because they never considered they night be dreaming, during the nightmare nor during daytime. So they found some way to check if they were dreaming all day every day.
Other ways could be: Wishing as much as you can that you realize you are dreaming when you are dreaming. Or according to some people you can just go to bed knowing, 100% convinced, that you will become lucid. These do not work for me, but they seem to work for some people.
