How can lucid dreaming improve your waking life?, or like the benefits people can receive from lucid dreaming?
It can serve as a stress reliever for waking life and you could even solve problems in dreams. Although I don't suggest escaping waking life and its problems; I suggest using dreams to learn how to handle any problems you may have. In dreams you can use psychological tricks to stop certain things you dont like about yourself. Maybe you have too much anger or hate and you want to get rid of it. In the dream you could get that anger or hate to manifest into a being and destroy it or you could turn that being into a giant loving bunny. Stuff like that. You can even train in Lucid Dreams, some athletes have done this and LaBerge mentions this in "Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming". There are so many possibilities.
You can also stop nightmares as well by changing the negative energy in them into positive. I know this all might not sound too clear and a little confusing, but if you look at EWOLD you'll know what I'm talking about.
As mentioned above, Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming has many chapters devoted to the many ways one can potentially improve their waking life once they are able to attain lucidity with some amount of consistency.
Most interesting to me is the idea that since everything in your dream comes from your own mind, every time you encounter something negative in your dreams (lucid or otherwise) this is pointing at some element of yourself that you are dissatisfied with or reject. By confronting these problems within your dream one can work towards creating better waking habits and work towards becoming a more well rounded person in general.
In a lucid dream, you are basically using your conscious mind to explore your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind knows much MUCH more about you than your conscious mind could even fathom. If you're grappling with an issue, unable to understand why you do some of the things you do, you can bet your subconsciousness knows the exact reason. It can also identify problems you don't even realize are affecting you. Certain things that appear in your dreams can reflect your waking life, and even more so in a lucid dream.
Also I third the book the others are mentioning. I got it at a library sale for a quarter and it was the best 25 cents I've ever spent :p
Thank you guys for sharing, this has really helped me ❤️❤️
