      Dream of a lucid dream?

I dunno why, but recently I have realised that all my 'lucid' dreams aren't really as lucid as they're supposed to be. In the dream I only stay lucid for a few seconds and then forget I'm in a dream immediately afterwards. Even though I told myself to remember it's a dream, I still forget after a few seconds. Anyone else get this? Or at least got it when they first started having 'LD's? If so, please help, I'm really stuck and I'd love to have a proper LD sometime soon.

Check the OP out here: http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...ise-proof.html

The main thing is being able to prove it to yourself without a doubt as mentioned in the link above. I feel it helps to rehearse the moment that you become lucid during your RC's and day practices…rehearsing a few moments of really stopping and examining your true state, that this world around you is all a dream and that you can pretty much do anything that you want! Add to this rubbing your hands and saying out loud "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming" and before you know it you will be extending the time that you remain lucid! Even if the dreams seems to be fading to black or gray…hang in there with your consciousness in tact and, on many occasions, you will find yourself entering the next dream while remaining lucid.

To answer your basic question, short LD's are common early on, but know that it doesn't have to stay that way long!

You probably have add or some focusing problem like just about everybody seems to have these days. Work on that while you're awake so it can manifest into your dreams.
