Definitely the research says you can REM in afternoon naps. Supposedly a great time to WILD. However i have not had dreams during afternoon naps that i could recall. For me the naps seem too short for that. So i just focus DILD attempts in the evening.
I barely have REM sleep during naps, excepted if I have a REM debt.
People who have to wake up much earlier than the time they could naturally wake up will probably have REM sleep if they take a nap, because of REM rebound.
Like Kaan, i only regulary have REM sleep during naps when i am in REM rebound.
Don't now where this you can't WILD when you first go to sleep but Naps are a perfekt time for WILD'S stereotype comes from, maybe it is different for everyone :?:.
I had some succes with consciously inducing REM (or at least dreams) during naps, though.
Yeah it must be different for everyone as I Dream nearly every time I nap, I've never had a single Lucid from one though and other people swear by them.
[QUOTE=Kaan;2164791People who have to wake up much earlier than the time they could naturally wake up will probably have REM sleep if they take a nap, because of REM rebound.[/QUOTE]This makes sense. I just started a thread on this before I noticed this one. I never dream during my daily naps, maybe because I get up the same time every day.?
I get lots of dreamlets after a minute of closing my eyes if I nap after lunch. They are short and chaotic and never resulted in a LD yet.
