Help Please!! I see images and scenarios just before falling asleep

Hi, dremers. I have a question and would greatly appreciate your answers. So, ever since I began trying to lucid dream, I have noticed that right before I actually fall asleep, I will see random scenarios/scenes/images. And when I see them, I observe them, see them as strange, prove that they're not real, and then say, "This is dream." Then, the scenario/scene/image lingers around for a few more seconds and then goes away. Then, after a few minutes or seconds, another scenario/scene/image appears and I do the same thing and then it goes away again. But, eventually, I go to sleep unconsciously in just a black, empty space (like how I assume most people do).

Do any of you know what these scenarios/scenes/Images are and what I should do with them. I would greatly appreciate your answers. Please and thank you.

This might be a risky decision to take at that point but I'd say, relax, take a deep breath and just get out of bed without too much thinking. If you're lucky than you could already be dreaming and be standing in a dream, do an RC to check.

One term we use here is Dreamlet. Basically a dream-ish form of imagery that happens in half-sleep. They are actually sort of dreams, so being conscious during them shows you are making some progress. They will go away if you focus on them. Instead try not to direct any attention to them. Just let them develop and they may become actual dreams.

This is just one of the form of what we call Hypnogogic Imagery (H.I.) or Hypnogogic Hallucinations (H.H.). Very normal and they can be a form of entertainment in themselves.

That's the thing, though. I know that I'm still awake (or at least I feel like I am). So, I don't think that me doing a reality check would do me much good. But, I am pretty sure it wouldn't hurt to try. Thanks for the tip. I will try it the next time it happens.

I'll try letting them be. Hopefully, they will develop into real dreams. But, that's where I'm unsure. I don't know when exactly they will become dreams. So, that's why I disapprove them almost immediately. But, maybe I should just wait it out through trial and error and see if they develop into real dreams.

Hallucinations, I don't usually get them unless I take Melatonin, the more I take the more intense they are, as you say you can tell your still awake you can feel the exact position of your real body.

The Hallucinations can be fun, and as you say they usually go away and are replaced. If you try to move your body they will probably dissolve instantly, but once I had one where I was doing a flip book I could see one of my hallucination hands and could feel both my real ones in bed, the book was positioned so that I could only see the corner of the flip image, instead of move my real other hand I willed my other hallucination hand to adjust the book so I could see the whole image I was amazed to see my hand move in. So try to control the Hallucination for added fun. I was laying there marveling at how I could never draw a single image from that flip book, but my mind was drawing them at like 20+ frames per second.
