DreamViews Buddy Program - August 2015
Apologies for the delay, everyone. Rest assured I have been given a stern talking to, and the incident will be brought up at the next weekly HR meeting. :cheeky:
Happy August, everyone! Summer’s almost over, and before you know it fall will be here, with back to school time and colder temperatures. So make the most of those last few weeks of summertime happiness in the sun. Unless you’re me. I’m currently writing this from deep in my house, sheltering myself from the torrential downpours that have been plaguing Florida for the past month. “The Sunshine State” indeed…
I’m sure you are all eager with an August Rush of enthusiasm to get your buddies, so here they are, in no particular order:
“But how am I supposed to get to know these strangers?” you shout at me as your face August Burns Red with anger. Fear not, young ones. Here are some handpicked icebreakers fresh from the vine to help, well, break the ice.
- What was your favorite dream ever? How about your worst nightmare?
- What was the earliest dream you remember?
- What are some of your current dream goals?
- What's the story behind your username?
- What’s your favorite candy?
- Toilet paper over or under?
- If you were a superhero, what celebrity would you want as your sidekick?
- When was the last time you did something for the first time? What was it?
- What would be the coolest prize you would put in a cereal box?
- And finally, complete this sentence: I could absolutely not live without…
So after you’ve consumed your Skittle-O’s, found the keys to a Tesla in the bottom, and handed them off to your trusty sidekick Liam Hemsworth, you then must retire to your bed to dream the night away. And while you’re doing this, you can try these special co-op tasks for you and your buddy. Post your successes and failures in this thread, and (of course) share them with your buddies:
Beginner
- Report your dreams each night to your buddy, even if you only remember small fragments (just the action of doing this can help improve your recall).
- Have your buddy appear in a dream of yours.
Intermediate
- Report at least one dream per night to your buddy.
- Summon your buddy in a lucid.
- Have a staring contest with your buddy.
Expert
- Report at least two dreams per night to your buddy.
- National Back to School Month – Teach a class with your buddy as your TA.
- Neurosurgery Outreach Month – Perform brain surgery on your buddy, describe what you find.
And that’s that. But if this program makes you happier than Saint Augustine after he found out a city in Florida was named after him, you can copy and paste this code into your signature to show off your coolness.
