Unhappy I had an unbelievably scary lucid dream?

(I`m interested to know what this dream could mean, or even if it was simply a dream). The day before before going to bed, i kept on telling myself that i was going to have a lucid dream, so on that night, i got exactly what i wanted, however, not in a way that i could have possibly imagined. at around 8 in the morning, i woke up, and then as i feel back asleep, i experienced those same weird vibrations that i always have before having a non spontaneous lucid dream. As i fell back asleep, i remained conscious while my mind developed a new dream world. However, something wasnt right this time. It went from pitch black, to me looking out my window from my bedroom upstairs. The atmosphere was horrible. In fact, the spectrum of colors that existed in this world were a darker shade of white, to pink, to red, to black. But it wasnt just the colors that gave me an overwhelming sense of fear. Outside i could hear a mix of a low frequency, constant rumble, and the screaming voices of thousands, like there was a stadium nearby. I knew there wasnt a stadium though. In the dream i had a feeling that this was some kind of hell, some kind lower realm where people were living in constant fear of who knows what. In fact, right before i woke up, i was aware that some of these people knew that i was there. It wasnt long before about 5 or six people began to break through the glass windows and run towards my house frantically for help, yelling in some kind of language that i couldnt understand.

Wow, that is a pretty scary encounter you described! The scariest part is that you had some kind of psychic link with the entities that eventually stormed your house. The second being the unidentifiable language that they were communicating in. Do you feel like it was another human language that you just didn't know, like hindi, german, french, etc? Or do you feel like it was a language not of this earth?

Weird timing of me reading your lucid dream account, I watched "The Return of the Living Dead" last night at the local movie theater. I dont know if you have seen that movie or not, but it's about a bunch of zombies that surround some people at a mortuary. The strange thing is , that I had a very frightening dream a few years back, and this was before I belonged to dreamviews. The dream was so crazy that I wrote down the dream instantly when I had woken up. I titled the dream, "THE DAY THE GREEN GAS CAME". What is so strange about this dream, is that it was very similar to the plot/story, whatever in the film I saw last night. The movie was made in 1985, and last night was the first time I had ever seen the film. In the movie, green gas bursts from a canister and poisons everything, and the dead rise, and living people turn into zombie like creatures. The film is kinda cheesey, cause it is trying to be like a satire of pulp zombie film/comics, but while I was watching the movie at the theater and saw the green gas burst and rise into the atmosphere, I suddenly remembered the dream I had written down a few years back.

In the movie the green gas chemical is released into the atmosphere, and then the weather gets crazy and starts raining and storming and became very gloomy. When I came out of the theater last night, the temperature had dropped to about 55-60 degrees F , and it was raining and storming really bad. I live in Texas and it has been 95-100 degrees every day, and it was just ironic to me in which the circumstances had played out over the last 24 hours, up until reading your dream, and it triggering past dreams of mine, and possibly some kinda weird psychic link to a weird film from the mid 1980's.

I appreciate your contribution, and wish I knew more to help you.

      Hey,

In trying to understand a dream, it can help to look at the separate elements. What does a stadium mean to you? What associations does it trigger? What about the sound, the throng of voices? Why a language you cannot understand?

That last part I find intriguing. Usually, in my dreams, language is used as a symbol for something, rather then as a means of communication. Meaning and messages are conveyed in a more 'direct way' (you just sort of know, or understand what a dream character is trying to say, without him/her actually spelling the whole thing out). If I dream of a group of people talking or yelling to me in a language I didn't understand, I'd likely interpret it as the dream portraying my confusion or inability to understand certain facets of a person or a group of persons ('why do people do this?... or why does he seem to think that?...').

Anyways, just some food for thought. Maybe it'll trigger some assocation of your own which may help you with your dream.
