Was I Dreaming About Being Lucid?

Here's the dream I wrote in my dream diary: The human race was being stormed by wolves. I was getting scared as I ran up stairs to evade the wolves. I locked the door and they came at it. I curled up, scared senseless of the ripping jaws. I remembered it was only a dream and I got excited, and the dream started wavering. I started spinning around and closing my eyes, trying to stay in the dream world. I did, and I was giddy as I grew wings to fly. I can't remember my other powers, but I transported a power watch and gave 10 people a power watch. I enabled all of them to fly, and I tested out flying under a ceiling. I couldn't so I opened the window and called for everyone to follow. I flapped my wings and almost fell, but continued flapping and I reached the rail. I tried climbing over the rail and hoisted myself up and onto a basketball rim that was there. It was 10 feet up and I forgot I had wings. It was dark outside and i summoned an invisible box for me to get down on. A winged came to my aid, but i was ln the floor already. I used my wings and yelled at the wolves to bring their attention to us. Their faces went dark, and I thought our powers were blacking them out. They all fell and i woke up. Awake time: 5:17 and fell back asleep until 8.

It was my first lucid dream if it was lucid. I had a dream 3 nights ago about being forced to marry a giant white furry potato. I realized that the giant potato wasn't real and got so excited I woke up.

The thing is, I only started trying to achieve lucid dreaming the night before my potato dream, so it's only been about 5 days. I usually can't remember my dreams and I actually remembered the flying dream 2 hours later. The things were a little hard to summon, like I had to push to get the wings out of my shoulder blades. Is this normal? Was I having a dream about controlling when I actually wasn't controlling? I'm not even one hundred percent sure I was lucid.

      Help?

If you are aware that you are in a dream and can recall that the last thing you did was go to bed, you are lucid. Sometimes your dream control might not be good though even after you stabilize the dream, but it still counts as being lucid. Congrats. : D

Now that i think about it I need to describe it better.
People can have dreams where they...

A.Are in a dream, dreaming that they are about to end up in a dream/lucid dream.Which can lead to lucidity.

B.Are dreaming about things dream related and can state their in a dream but they are focused on the plot of the dream and memories of waking life are not really present. Its like you have become a wave and the dream plot is the wind. You let the wind push you because you partly feel you must follow it. Since you partly believe you are the wave but you are not. Which is what i call semi lucid.

C.Are just dreaming dream related stuff and fully believe that what is going around you is real.[Not lucid]

I think just by reading A, B, and C you can tell if you were really lucid or not in a dream. Hope it helps. : 3

I think you were lucid, it's just that your awareness was just not that high. There's a video by a great lucid dreamer on YouTube that explains this great. He goes by the name reecejones and the title is called layers of lucidity. You had the inkling sensation of lucidity, you just needed more awareness and I'm no expert myself, just a beginner myself also but I hear a lot in these forums that a solution to this problem is to stabilise your dream first and just immerse yourself into the dream world, really anchor yourself to the dream, look around, observe your surroundings before moving on further into your dream or that foggy state will still persist. Look at all the details in your dream world, look at your hands, the lines and wrinkles, what do you hear, smell etc. Immerse all your senses and just think to yourself, I'm here, I'm awake, aware, I know I'm dreaming and then continue. Hope this helps

Before I even discovered lucid dreaming or knew what it was, I found that I could control things even though I wasn't lucid. Like I would shut my eyes to wake up during a scary dream, or fly but I was doing this without any awareness, like a robot, without really thinking what I was doing.
