What is the deal with sslds'
I have been trying for a short while now to get a WILD, with no success; I have a hard time getting over to sleep. However, when i tried SSILD, which i just came across by chance, for the first time last night, it blew my mind. I did not attain lucidity, but i did have the most vivid FA; it was unbelievable. I even passed a reality check; it was not until I woke up from already being awake that i knew lol!
My experience goes like this, I used the wbtb method and ggt up at approximately 4:45 hours after falling asleep. Went to the toilet and immediately returned to bed to try the technique; like i said i have trouble getting back to sleep. I did three cycles when i started to see and hear dream sequences (not hypnagogia), suddenly they stopped. I thought this would be the perfect time to try and go to sleep, but i found it difficult. So, knowing that ssild was known for false awakenings, i sat up and looked around my room; everything looked super real. I looked at my digital clock twice, same time, so i presumed i really was awake. Well I thought that until I woke up from being awake haha!
What i want to know is, is there a reason why this isn't put forward as advice for those having difficulty with wilds more often. Even if you don't use the technique the way it was intended, it is an uber relaxation technique! Relaxation seems to be the main trouble with WILD; at least it is with me.
