Or any other dream-related question. If so, what was the response?
I remember a dream I had when I was about 8 years old, which would be in 1994 - I was outside my house in the middle of the night and there was some sort of party outside, with lots of anthropomorphic animals present.
I walked up to a bear and shouted to him "why do I never stop dreaming?!", because for some reason I became lucid at that moment and realized that I had been dreaming for a very long time, and wanted to wake up.
The bear just looked at me with a surprised expression, and then I woke up.
In fact, I think this was the dream that kindled my initial interest in lucid dreaming.
I was told something in one of my first LDs by my dream guide. I was in a green yard with a single black stemmed red rose in the middle. As far as I can see north and south, there are copies of the back yard. It is a place that I call "Infinity". My DG told me:
"You must be like the flower if you wish to stay"
It is interesting and has a few different interpretations.
At first, I interpreted it as I needed to be like the surroundings in my dreams and act like it was normal so that I wouldn't wake up. It helped me a lot with stabilization, but I have broken free of that now. I feel like with dream control (I consider stabilization a type of dream control) it is good to find out what works best for you and what doesn't work best for you. Get awesome at what works best for you and then practice what doesn't work very well. Later on, you want to choose which one is more effective, faster, and/or convenient, but at first, you just want to get things done any way possible, don't be super specific with your goals, but super creative, you can be specific later.
Another interpretation is that "If I don't act like the flower" I have to leave. Another interpretation could have been just for that yard meaning that I had to actually become the flower. another interpretation could be for life in general, that if I don't act like everyone else and don't succumb to the unity of the world, I can't stay. There are a lot more that I can think of, but for me, it was very clear that it was about LDing, but I had to figure out what. It of course could have been a self fulfilling prophecy, since I thought I had a method taught to me by my DG, it worked really well, and not vice versa. :P Make sense?
Here is the DJ entry.

Edit:
Forgot to put my current interpretation of it. It is that I need to be comfortable in the dream.
Naturally. I'm not about to believe the rationalizations of someone elses DC-utterings . I'm interested in what to expect and in the different interpretations you have since I need to upgrade my interpetation vocabulary. Yours is the first example I've seen where the message wasn't clear. So now I know to expect that. I'm also positively surprised since I didn't think of any those interpretations.
Thanks for the DJ entry.
