Questions concerning an older thread's discussion on prospective memory

A while ago I found a thread from this forum that was from 2013, and now I can't find it again, but I do remember that it was about prospective memory and "staying lucid as if you are already dreaming" throughout the day.
One thing that I was wondering about concerning that thread was that the topic creator thought that "future intents" could be a disadvantage, since (s)he thought this would mean "pushing things forward" and never actually feeling lucid at the present moment - instead, the topic creator suggested that you should feel lucid at the present moment "with your whole body, not just with your mind".
Now I am wondering, does this imply that MILD could possibly be a poor technique?
Or is this simply something that's highly individual?
Personally I have always become lucid quite easily when I have started journaling my dreams and preparing future dream goals, and I think that prospective memory should theoretically be very effective.
I mean, you can plan to remember future intents in waking life, so it seems reasonable that you should be able to prepare for a future dream, and remember to question it.

Like I said, I cannot find that thread I read a while ago, but hopefully someone will be familiar with it.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on this?

Intention makes lucid dreaming more important which in turn makes it easier to remember during the dream. You don't have to maintain your intention all day as this suggests. As long as the intention is there while you're dreaming, it does it's job.

I am confident prospective memory is a good thing. Dream signs work well with it. For example learning to realize you are dreaming whenever driving erratically.... that requires dream sign plus prospective memory.
