      Christmas drinks, didn't achieve lucidity

Had a few wines last night and entered a deep sleep. As usual I woke up 5 hours into sleep and was going into a WBTB.
I had 3 intensely vivid dreams with many triggers to achieve lucidity but I didn't see the signs and the dream remained Non-lucid.
There were giveaway signs in the vivid dream ( I wrote them all down in the journal), like a car falling through a gaping hole and my dog digging a 2 feet hole through a concrete floor but I didn't get a chance to do a RC OR feel that I was lucid.

Was it because I had a few wines and was quite exhausted when I went to bed at night?
I still got up and did MILD and prepared for lucidity but no luck.

      Hey,
      might be.
For me i noticed when i drink or smoke the night before it is less likely to get lucid and even if i get lucid the quality is pretty bad. i wake up faster and i have less control/i am less focused and do more random stuff than my goals.
you need a clear mind for lucid dreaming no matter if for induction or in your dream.

Thank you for your feedback, RelaxandDream. Much appreciated. Makes perfect sense.

Last night I slept with a clear mind, as with the other days, again 3 vivids early morning after wbtb, no lucid. Am still very new though, to LD.
It's been a month since I have started this wonderful journey, after an accidental LD. I've had 6 LD since. Lasting only a few minutes. I am learning to stabilise and control dream. But haven't LD to practise since 4 nights now
