Today I rejoined the same LD 4 times, this is how

Today I came up with this technique in order to be easier to do LD chaining since I've been experimenting with DEILD this week. I was able to rejoin the same LD four times in a row with the method I describe below.

When I felt the dream was fading and no stabilization technique would hold it any longer, I immediately looked for a standing wall or anything that would narrow or severely restrict my visual field. I would then go there and stand by it, facing it.

This way, when I briefly woke up I had a consistent and significant less amount of details and distractions to reconstruct in my visualization in order to rejoin the same dream. Instead, I focused on the sounds surrounding me (and the visual image of the wall, of course). Not moving after waking up nor opening your eyes is still mandatory (even though in one of the chainings I briefly opened my eyes, but it didn't compromise my try).

I have to admit though, my LDs today were a lot focused on dream figures since I'm interrogating them recently in my dream goals, so focusing on the current dialogue that was happening at that time was the key here. At one point I even visualized one of them coming and whispering in my ears, so it was a lot easier to keep the visualization going and the bond with the previous dream.

This worked 100% of the times today until I had to wake up due to my alarm clock. While facing the wall inside the dream, the entire time I was, of course, rubbing my hands in order to try stabilizing the dream, just in case.

Even though this was a one night thing, the success rate here indicates this technique is promising. In less noisy dreams, I expect the effectiveness to be decreased, but I will try to keep it tracked and find solutions to this and I'll update you guys with my findings. If someone is also able to help and share thoughts on this so we can develop DEILD further, would be appreciated.

This is a pretty good technique. This seems similar to dream incubation, but the dream you're incubating is the last one.

I don't know. Did the dream behave the same way as it did last time? For example, were the same DCs from the last one doing the same things as they were from the last one? If what I'm thinking is right, the only thing that should be the same is the general location of the dream. Then again, I've never tried this, but I'll be sure to try.

And I literally took off exactly on the same spot I left the dream. The figures, the scenario, the dialogues... I think the scenario is kept thanks to the wall visualization, and the content, to the hearing of the surroundings... waking up was nothing but a subtle pause. A good DEILD is amazing! If you always briefly wake up after a dream like me, then DEILD becomes gold.

Same thing happened to me, I did this about 7 times (sometimes it brought me right back into the same dream) other times I was in a new location. I 100% agree to make this work, do NOT move at all or open your eyes. It takes practice but then it's a piece of cake. Also, visualize where you just were to get back into the same dream, if not then let your visions take over and enter a new dream. You should be aware you're dreaming right away and have full control.

I found when I felt I was about to wake up, to stop and focus on surrounding landscapes to be a big help! You have to see things as clear and vivid as possible to stray from awaking up too early.

Today I did it again, rejoined once while face-walling and the second time I tried I couldn't because I was in an empty space with no DC nor any noticeable noise... I'll try to get a fix around this, maybe summoning something noisy right before I wake up or carrying something around that makes sound when demanded... just some stuff I just came up with. Lots of ways to be refined.

The basic idea here is to keep the visualization as easy as possible in order to rejoin the previous dream with 100% success rate.

Update #2: Today I rejoined the same LD twice in a row with this visualization technique. It's solid.

On the last time I felt as if my body was being "pulled" to the dream through my feet, as if I was sinking to the dream. It was weird, but it worked.

do you have to start with a lucid dream at the beginning of your streak or do you wake up in the middle of the night from a NLD dont move and enter the next one lucidly and can streak from there?

So far I've been streaking from LDs since when I briefly wake up from them, I'm still very lucid about what's going on, so instead of getting my phone and typing a new dream on my journal I'd rather keep the train rolling.

With practice and other techniques I'm sure I can streak from NLDs too. A good one is FILD for that purpose.

But to use this visual field limitation technique I'm proposing you obviously have to DEILD from a previous LD.
