WBTB with MILD, chance of SP?

I have been having extreme vivid dreams all week after having found out about Lucid Dreaming. I'm officially trying it out now. What is the best method to avoid SP, WBTB MILD? I know WILD has a high chance of SP. I see DILD as almost a random/luck like lucid inducement.

So MILD with WBTB? I really don't want to face SP as I am scared of what will happen. I know you can induce a LD with it but still, it isn't the thought of not being able to move that scares me, but the entities people see. Creepy stuff

      Here's a great guide for MILD: http://www.dreamviews.com/attaining-...technique.html

MILD is least likely to give you SP, that is true. Even if you happen to get it, just remember that nothing can hurt you. It's completely natural.

I have three words for you, MadzAssassin, that you might consider taking to heart:

      SP Doesn't Matter.

As you make your explorations into LD'ing, it would probably be best to travel without the useless baggage that accepting the SP myth can create. SP has nothing to do with lucidity, it is not a necessary part of the WILD transition, and it isn't even Sleep Paralysis that everyone is talking about in those forums (the sensation you might feel during WILD is either REM Atonia, which is a normal factor in falling asleep that can be easily exited, or it much just be your body getting very relaxed as you settle into sleep, which is also easily exited).

So there is nothing to fear at all, and I highly recommend that you do not base your LD practice on avoiding SP. Though MILD is an excellent technique to learn first, because it has tools that are useful in both WILD and DILD, you might find other techniques, like WBTB, that fill your needs even better... don't miss out on LD'ing for fear of something that, in terms of LD'ing, just doesn't matter.

Here are a couple of threads that might help you better understand SP:

Welcomw to Dreamviews, BTW, and good luck!

Thank you very much!!! I tried to MILD last night but there was far too many distraction. My sister was crying next door, the cats were having a party, in the morning when I finished a dream (that I struggle to recall but it did have the topic of lucid dreaming in it. I think I was explaining it to someone without being lucid myself xD) my mum came in trying to be discreet in collecting clothes for the washing but she was ridiculously loud.

Tonight I will try a WBTB SSILD, I heard it gives people good results in dipping your toes in LD.

When it comes to SP, I realise now that I am in control of what I see. This has calmed me more now.

      Thanks a bunch

I have never "had" SP and have been lucid dreaming for 5 or 6 years. I know people who do not LD and have a lot of SPs. I think it really depends on the person. Dont worry as it cant hurt you. And remember, you go into SP every time you dream, 6 or more times a night. You are just not aware of it. Good thing too or you would act out your dreams.
