      Lucid dream tonight

If I, as a complete begginer, wanted to lucid dream tonight, what technique would I use?

      Hey MinerPhill03,

I know this isn't what you're gonna want to hear, but I'm gonna say it anyway: Lucid dreaming is not an instant thing - you usually can't just go from complete beginner (aka, never remembering any dreams at night, never had a lucid dream before) to instant lucid dream master just from trying a single technique once. The majority of learning to lucid dream is practicing techniques until they start working - no technique starts working instantly. In fact, some people spend months trying out different techniques, seeing what works for them, and then practicing them until they have them down pat.

I know it sounds harsh that way, and I don't want to squelch your enthusiasm. It's really just an unfortunate truth that all beginners need to realize before they get started. If they don't realize this from the start, they're pretty much destined to get frustrated after having a few nights without results and then quit entirely, never knowing their true potential for having lucid dreams. Knowing this, if you still want to continue, I'd advise starting with the basics - start keeping a Dream Journal and start performing Reality Checks throughout the day. You can find more help with that here: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...hecks-rcs.html

Now that that's out in the open, back to your question. If I had to pick a method that would be your best shot for having a lucid this quickly (and again, it's a very very slim shot, but a shot nonetheless), I would suggest SSILD. It's easy to do, doesn't require a ton of work, and can be done pretty much any night that you're willing to wake up in the middle of your sleep. You can find out more about it here: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...eam-ssild.html
