How To Waste The Time?
These next few night i intend to try the WBTB method. I have tried a few times before and have had no sucess with it, but of course im gonna keep trying. The only thing im having trouble with is when i wake up from the alarm. I try to stay awake for about 20 or 30 minutes but i dont know what to do during this time. Should i play on my phone or is there some other no electrical activity that i could do while i pass the time? Suggestions please :)

you could try varying the time you wake up to different times and then RC often and keep your brain active, such as play some sort of thinking game on phone, then try visualization and mantra as you fall back to sleep.
That way on different nights your brain might become active because of other nights activities and you might be more likely to be lucid. You will have trained your brain to expect to wake up and also to RC at these times.

I would advice against doing things on your phone, actually. It seems detrimental to the 'dreamy' state of mind (to me at least) and can cause difficulty in getting back to sleep. I don't know how interested you are in scientific topics, but as mentioned in a recent thread I can't find right now, reading scientific material can cause an increased level of certain neurotransmitters involved in dreaming. Even though the actual effectivity of this might be questionable, it is far from harmful.
If you are not interested in doing that, you could also look through your dream journal (if you have it written or printed) or just imagine or even write down (or draw) the dream you want to have when you go back to sleep.

I find 2-3 minutes awake is enough for me. I don't try to completely wake up per se. I just make sure my intention is firmly set. I don't wanna take 40 mins to fall asleep again.

First of all you should look at it differently, NOT as a waste of time.
You want to inspire your mind, pump it up, get excited about what you about to do. You are about to do one of the most incredible things we can - to have a lucid dream.
Read the forum, some tutorials, exciting dream journals, or even your dream journal. Draw what you want to dream about, make a detailed plan of what you want to do in a dream. Visualize and think about it with excited anticipation, KNOWING that that's what's gonna happen.
Yes, using electronic devices like computers or watching TV is not recommended. But if you find that it doesn't interfere with you personally and you can still fall asleep normally (you still need this to WILD), then it's ok with moderation. As long as the activity is LDing related.

Maybe grab a list of movies and only watch the during wbtbs. Dreamy movies. Inception, matrix being the ones we always rank high. Lol. Of course I recommend doing a bunch of micro wbtbs and only one long one, so during the long one I usually am trying to piece together the dreams from earlier in the night so that everything makes sense. Tapping out tags and connections on my phone. That takes quite a bit of time.
