Advice on starting a dream journal?

Hey everyone ive been logging my dreams for the last month or so. I was wondering if you guys have any tips for what and how i should record my dreams.

also, which resources do you recommend I use? any good apps for keeping a dream journal?

      thanks so much!

I would say that you must try to write down your dreams with as much details as possible. As for the app i use one called "Lucidity" you can find it on the android market.

Normally on your smart phone there should already be an app similar to a nopad. I prefer to type mine in my phone because it's much faster. If however I wrote them in my diary it looks like I've been writing in a different language.

I would recommend writing your dreams down on paper rather than typing them. If you physically write something out, you are usually able to remember it better than if you typed it. Also, if you're going to be recording your dreams during a WBTB, the light from a screen might make you too awake.

Or, if you are a person that doesn't wake up enough during wbtbs, it might make you awake enough for the wbtb to be more effective. I write tags on my phone and it doesn't seem to have any negative repercussions on me. I switched from paper to that after 6 months and have been using my phone for tags ever since (3 years or so)

thanks for your help, the thread you sent me was very helpful. Can I ask what you mean by tags? Like tagging certain types of dreams?

edit: just read it on your DJ tutorial thread, nevermind!

I am glad you find it useful. it is kind of a dj with an end goal in mind as well, so find a better, less time consuming way to do things if you have time constraints in life.
