I got a chance to try it in last night's LD. I picked up a book and tried to read it. It contained English words, but unfortunately they didn't form grammatical sentences, and I quickly lost interest. I suspect this is a nontypical case, though. It's worth trying it again, since I read really interesting stuff all the time in NLDs.
