Hey everyone!! So I have a problem of not being able to stay still and stay calm when I wake up in the middle of the night, attempting to DEILD. If I talk to my subconscious before bed, and request it to help me stay calm, will it work???

you can call it to "talk to my subconc." Or some would call it autosuggestion.
however... yes it works. it works with noticing the awakenings during night, dreamrecall, lay still and let your eyes closed and everything else.
i would recommend to put your intention into a mantra like: "when i wake up i will stay still and dont move". what exactly the mantra is you have to decide. synchronize it with your breath. while breathing in you might say when i wake up - and when you breath out i will stay still and dont move.
use this while falling asleep. at the beginning you might want to concentrate more on it so you really set your intention and make yourself clear what you want. after some repetitions you can slowly let go of the concentration until its just an echo in your head while you fall asleep (important part here is to actually fall asleep ;))
i hope i could help, good luck with it :)
[Edit] and why the heck do you need like 10 questionmarks in your threadtitle?
I wouldn't request. Tell your subconscious what is going to happen. I'm not saying to give it orders. I'm saying to literally let yourself know what is going to happen, and have faith in this. You need to have conviction.
Remember the part of the Matrix where Neo has to learn how to fly? It's like that. Neo could fly if he KNEW, with no doubt, that he could fly. It's only because he wasn't sure of himself that he fell.
This is also the ultimate thing to know for dream control, by the way.
Yes it's interesting to think about -for me working on my "confident knowing " of a desired result/reality/LD seems to work best :)
You can do it!
