      Semi-Lucid??

So I have just awoken for a WBTB early from what I can remember as three separate dreams. (All fairly long)

The first one was a bit boring and linear but creepy towards the end where me and family were driving home at night and (note: I am not a racist person. Had no idea why this was in my dreams, but it was creepy. I apologise if this offends anyone for stereotyping) a Chinese doctor was skinning a dog alive in the middle of the road with the tiniest blade.

Anyway, next one was based off of a game I play and fairly normal but the one after was odd. I was on a beach that felt so realistic, I could feel the pebbles underneath my feet. Hear the waves clashing together. It was pretty. Then copies of myself began appearing everywhere and meditating, I lifted them up (telekinesis) and banished them from the beach. Then shadow people started turning up, which crept me out a little. So for some reason (it seemed like I had no control over this) I had the superpowers of Scarlet Witch from the MCU movies and utilised that to defeat the shadow people. (Who weren't attacking me btw, just waking really slowly towards me in a creepy fashion.)

Then more appeared, but they had ears. Next thing I wanted to do was run with them (sudden change of mind, I know) like a pack of wolves along the beach, so I did - but they kept turning into rabbits- so I turned them back. Then, IWL, I feel my body come out of paralysis and my legs fall to one side (not sure why my legs were up right. But creepy) and this took me out of the dream.

In that last dream, I had a feeling of lucidity, but it wasn't 100%. Like, I didn't feel lucid, but I was controlling the dream (pretty well IMO for a novice) mildly and in some moments I wasn't. But the thing that bothered me is that I was crept out doing the dream, hence the appearance of shadow people.

This is the thing that puts me off lucid dreaming. Frightening occurrences because I can think of some really scary stuff/creepy stuff.
Heck, the woman skinning the dog as if it was normal in the middle of the night, in the middle of the street is creeping me out right now.

Anyway, this all took place after 4 hrs of sleep, two hours prior to my WBTB. I did a guided meditation prior to sleeping for 11 mins.

I'm just confused with this as to if I was lucid, semi lucid or if was just a dream?.

It could be a semilucid, or a very low-level lucid, or perhaps it was a dream where you simply dreamed about controlling the dream but without any actual lucidity. I often find these difficult to tell apart.

But if you attain strong enough lucidity in a dream, it should be unmistakable, and you should be able to remember that the imagery in the dream isn't real. In this case, “scary” things shouldn't be that bad because you know they can't actually hurt you, and dealing with them will be much easier.
