I had two lucid dreams last night. I'm not complaining, but they were fairly dull; less exciting than the real dreams that preceded them in fact. Are there any methods to increase the vividness of lucid dreams? Thank you!

One thing that also doubles as a stabilizing technique is to grab onto something and feel it's texture and detail. Even if a lucid starts out pretty dull it can naturally get more vivid as it goes if you don't get discouraged. If it's just a little not vivid then do what you can to stabilize and start on finding something fun to do and it will probably get better. Alternatively, if your dream is exceptionally fuzzy it might not last long anyways so you could prepare yoursellf for it to fade, keep calm, and and transition into a new dream with WILD techniques. I find WILDs are alyways more vivid on average.
Some of my lucids start out like you said and others randomly start out hyper realistic. Sometimes there is not a whole lot you can do but make the most of it. Good job on getting two lucids. :)
Yeah, thanks, I'll have to try that grabbing onto stuff technique! In fact that might work as a reality check too!
I have a particularly odd method of stabilization to increase my own vividness, but hey, if it works for me it could work for you! When I lose vividness, I rub my hands together, but instead of trying to stabilize I make myself "wake up". If I try and wake up while rubbing my hands, nine times out of ten it'll induce a false awakening and I'll be lying in my dream bed, rubbing my dream hands. My house tends to be a hyper realistic and vivid dream scene, so I can continue my dream from there.
Keep with it! The more confident and experienced you are, the better your dreams will get. Two in one night is pretty great, even if they were dull.
I back up the grab thing. Try to interact with the dream world as much as you can to convince your mind that this is a reality now! Also stay calm, imagine deep breathing and relax your dream body. Focus on all the details around you and try to find some odd dream-like things.
