What was going on here?
Im trying to lucid dream for quit some time now.
And yesterday it finally kind of happened.
I am watching lucid dreamer movies on youtube every night before i goto sleep.
Yesterday i was in a dream, and i clearly remember allot of stuff happening, aswel as me realising i was dreaming, but not troughout whole the dream. Its like i forgot at some point.
I was even telling people that it was only a dream. I have some very precious stuff in my wallet wich i carry with me all the time, something on little square papers ... :) Anyway, i was telling the people in my dream about it, and they wanted to buy some ... I remember answering the question with, its not possible, this is only a dream, even if i sell some to you guys, when i wake up i will still have em all, so theres no point in selling them to you ...
But i don't get why i didn't do reality checks, like trying to push my fingers true my hand, or trying to manifest other stuff ... I was lucid at some level, but not all the way i guess ...
I also remember i had difficultys talking to them, i could not speak like i normally do ... It was like i had a speaking disorder of some sort ... took me allot of effort to get words out of my mouth, let alone talking in sentences ... wich obviously got on the other peoples nerves ...
Any1 some thoughts on this?
thanks!

It seems like your mind was on celebrating that you were lucid by telling everybody it's a dream rather than on doing a reality check or performing dream control. It's natural to celebrate like this.
You don't have to talk to communicate with DCs. They can read your thoughts.
I find that telling myself my dream goal just before going to bed helps me remember to do it during the dream once I'm lucid.

What's going on is that you're in a semi-lucid state. Some have different definition of it but that's how I like to describe it. In my second week of Lucid Dreaming I experienced that. Mind telling me when you started?
Your mind's conscious parts did n't awaken even around 60%. It's awake about 10%. When you become lucid parts of your conscious brain awakens. That's the reason we do stabilizing techniques as lucid dreamers,to awaken parts of our conscious brain or to increase awareness just like how many seem to call it.
Your lucidity without any reality checks also happened to me on my second week. Perhaps because you watched Lucid Dream movies that's why it got planted in your subconscious ?It's a form of MILD by the way.
As for dealing with them do stabilization techniques. You're hoing to fail a lot first but it gets better. Lastly, plant an itention for your goal like dolphin said. Good luck!
