Dream recall question
Iv been using a mantra the past few days and its increased my dream recall and so now i seem to wake at the end of most dreams i have which is great but surely bieng so good at recall causes bad sleep due to the fact that it causes broken sleep?
Im worried due to people saying broken sleep is just as bad as no sleep and i do need my sleep before work...anybody overcome this? Thanx =)

go to bed a bit earlier to compensate. tho if you wake up and have a bout of insomnia it will be a bit bad. But if you sleep an extra of 1.5 hours and are up for only a few minutes like 4 times then it won't be bad. I usually sleep the first 3 hrs before waking (where most of the deep sleep is), and then wake after each cycle. If I have slept too much on previous days I might have insomnia on the next night tho. Where I wake up at 4 or even 2:30 and can't get back to sleep at all (normal wake up time 5).

I personally do not think that lucid dreaming would alter the quality of your over all sleep, but I am not sure about this. Sometimes but rarely after especially long lucid dreams I wake up and I feel very strange, just really out of sync with whats going on around me and unable to focus, but this is rare, most of the time I wake up from a lucid dream night feeling right as rain and even better than normal. It is real nice to start out ones day with a extra ordinary experience, a good compensation for the hours of heaviness and mediocrity of waking life.
