Daily Fatigue from Lucid Dreaming! Are you?

I accidentally stumbled upon Lucid Dreaming by practicing it myself. I have been doing it now for a little over a month and have enjoyed it until now. I'm finding myself waking up feeling extremely tired and fatigued all day and feel this must be due to my conscious mind not getting a solid night's sleep because it is constantly "aware". Now, I am finding myself trying very hard NOT to dream at night because I want to get a good nights sleep. Is anyone else finding themselves with the same problem?

I have experienced this, but moslty it occurs when I'm stressed out in "real" life too.
I've also heard scientists say that people who dream a lot tend to suffer from both depression and exessive tiredness more often then people who dream less. That's supposed to be because the brain gets less Deep Sleep then it would otherwise.

I usually end up more tired when i sleep +8 hours then when I sleep 5-7 hours. Maybe you should try cutting down on your sleep a bit?

I started recording Sitcoms/cartoons (Seinfeld, King of Queens, Flintstones, etc.) and watching them at the same time every night. Just like Peter Pan...if you can't think happy thoughts...watch 'em! Sweet dreams!

Heh, we all dream every night and there's nothing exhausting about it, otherwise we'd all be exhausted every day.

The way I see it, unless you're having lucid dreams without wanting to and constantly then there's nothing to worry about.

Let me tell you first that I am experiencing LD's in certain time periods....it doesn't happen all the time....
But the thing is this...I feel exactly the opposite feeling than you are...
I feel very tired on "dry" periods with no Lucid Dreaming...and whenever I am LDing and wake up in the morning, I feel powerfull and confident....
Maybe it is a mater of perspective from person to person...
To put it in another way....At the exact moment that you realize that you are dreaming and you enter an LD state...dont you feel inner-power or confidence running through you...?

I have nver felt tierd from lucid dreaming ever. I usally wake up feeling great and refreshed. Maby you have a sleep disorder or something.

When I have lucid dreams and wake in the morning I feel like I have more energy and a better nights sleep.
