Prospective Memory Training Exercise - Silly Sentences To Help Remember Targets
I have been reading Stephen LaBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, and *trying* to hit those my targets every day. I was pretty hopeless the first week, and this week has not been much better. So, I decided to try and make it easier for me to recall the targets by making a silly sentence I can easily recall and use to remind myself throughout the day.
Yesterday I took the Tuesday targets:
The next time I see a traffic light
The next time I hear music
The next time I throw something in the garbage
The next time I hear laughter
and made this sentence: I laugh when I hear the music of traffic lights! Such garbage!
I did miss the first instance of music, but it seemed to help.
Today, Wednesday, I made a silly sentence from the targets today:
The next time I turn on a television or radio
The next time I see a vegetable
The next time I see a red car
The next time I handle money
When I turn on the radio or TV, I see a vegetable driving a red convertible car waving dollar bills at everyone it passes.
I've hit two already. :)
I'd love to hear suggestions from other dreamers for silly sentences to make this exercise more accessible.
