on the verge of lucidity

two nights ago (in the dream) I was driving the car and suddenly saw something whitish crossing the sky. I looked into that. It was a spaceship. It resembeled a white pencil. I thought: "how nice! Such fenomena could be used as memes when a person is dreaming.'
Today I was even closer to the LD, actually I set a foot in there:
it was rather a long dream then I ended up in my sister Nela's room (she hasn't been living in it for ten years) and she sits at the table near the window with her friend L'ana. in reality L'ana died in the car crash a year ago and in the dream i know that. I want to ask L'ana: "How's going... out there?" But feel ill at ease. Finaly I sit at the table opposite to L'ana and see her face is changing into somebody else face. Nela adresses her as "Olga". Here I wake up
Actually i can not say for sure if I was aware that I was dreaming

Hi. It sounds close. If you can remember not to stare at things and just look around with shorter glances, the dream imagery will solidify and not change into something else. Glance back-and-forth between your hands and other images.

I do not agree with this. At least for my dreams. I have had objects change when looking at them and objects change when not looking at them. I have studied objects and books for long periods of time without them changing at all. This honestly sounds like bad schema that has developed in your dreams.

I think a lot of times we need to focus on 2 different types of awareness. Awareness in the dream (like how you are present and making decisions and asking questions about the dream) and awareness of the idea of dreams (being able to come up with the idea of "dream" in a dream). Sounds like you are missing the second one. I would recommend focusing on whichever one you are lacking and try to find a balance between the two. :)

oh yes - sometimes ( very rarely) I remember this rule. But this time I failed. Or for example the last night (dream). Me and my friend Kasia are walking about the town looking for a place to have dinner. I want to chose high place - in the high building. I want to have opportunity to fly out of the window. But Kasia insists and we walk down to some kind of a cellar :-) I forget to look at my hands and soon wake up

I don't entirely catch you point. Aren't we have the idea of a dream in dream simply being aware? May be I experienced what you are talking about a week ago: I ended up in some kind of a textil shop, and realized to 100% that I am in a dream. I even remembered that a dreamer should look for a "dream-band" in his dream. So I began to look for it but only some rags came up. I tried to keep an eye at my hands. And soon I got cramps in my middle finger - I focused on it and it was a mistake - I woke up

As far as the "don't focus on a single thing or you will wake up goes", I would say that if a dream is unstable, there are usually a list of things that are bad to do unless you want to lose it completely. This depends on the dreamer and the dream, but I think that limiting a dream is just limiting yourself. Remember that you can do ANYTHING in a dream, but if right from the start you are saying "I can't focus on one thing without waking myself up." Dreams are just not going to be as fun. You can do anything in a dream, especially something so easy as what you do in non lucids all the time. I often will grab a book, a drink, sit down in a field and read the whole thing. So I don't like the idea of not focusing. :P

I don't know,I think this might be preference,because atleast two of my LDs were because I noticed a DC staring at me,and did the same,which prompted me to analyze my dream scape further,thus resulting in me being full lucid,or fully aware. Unless I'm understanding incorrectly.

I was referring to all dreams, lucid and non lucid.

Not sure,but I think sense is saying there is awareness,as in,I'm aware that I'm present in the moment,since im observing this and doing things(vividness,thought,etc) and then there is awareness of the form,where you kinda internally weigh reality/and dream to come to the conclusion resulting in lucidity. Where you kinda need both working,in order to gain lucidity. Since in your originally mentioned dream,you say you knew it was a dream,but never questioned it. It's close to lucidity because you have one aspect,but to take the step needed,you need both feet(aspects of awareness).
