it could be from waking from deep sleep
you might try drinking a lot of water before sleep it will cause you to wake from light sleep just after a dream
then be still and try for recall, then use bathroom and then reload with liquids and head back to sleep
if you wake 3 times this way per night you will recall something soon.

your manta should be something like "I will remember my dreams, I will lie still on awakening and recall, recall, recall"

oh don't forget to journal (before bathroom outline, after fill in) them other wise you will remember them and then forget them by final awakening at like hard alarm

or if you alergic to water you could buy a smart alarm that monitors you sleep, motion, breathing and wakes you from it with softly growing volume, but that isn't likely as good or nearly as cheap

Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

Have a look at my FryingMan's Dream Recall Tips.

Pay attention to all experience in order to capture and remember more and more moments of life experience. Continually bring your attention to the present moment, fighting off autopilot and unconscious ("zombie mode") living. Doing this consistently while awake will cause the same behavior eventually in dreams. Practice mindfulness (many excellent sources to learn what it's about are listed here
