Unique Visual "Effect"

Okay so I'm supposed to go to bed in a few minutes so I might as well not waste your time. I remember this one LD I had a while back. I was in the middle of a dream, realized I was floating, and took control of the dream.

The dream then transitioned to my house, but here's where it gets weird. It looked like I was in a white void with only the kitchen still there. It looked like the scene faded into a sort of 'Paint' spray paint thing (If any of you know what that means). And it was at that point I started to lose lucidity.

TL;DR I saw my kitchen but it faded into a white void. I think the best comparison is "White Space" from Sonic Generations. Nothing special but I thought it was pretty cool.
