      Hmmm..

Sharp vitriol in a velvet glove, some of which I can relate to:

Teenage male bullshitters; mantra beat spirituality in a Shangri-La setting; silk-shirted* ponytailed 'neuroscientists' (psychologists) charging substantial moolah for beach tutorials.

      Some I don't relate to:

Dream diaries (never kept one - started learning lucid dreaming in 1975, before the LaBerge onslaught - not a fan of his, btw); the use of the term 'neuroscientist' in an attempt to aggrandise that which is essentially 'psychologist', i.e. not a scientist.

In my opinion, lucid dreaming is a lifetime's work. It's hard graft and there are barely any people in the world who can do it with any skill, although the hustings would make it appear otherwise. I am minded of Cato (?): "All is vanity, Cicero, all is vanity.."

      *That's you, ain't it?

      Take it easy.

      Funny and true.

Probably going to wind up preaching to the converted though, sadly.

      Or Ecclesiastes. XD
Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.
