Exclamation *Serious - Split conscience, one awake, one LD, PLEASE HELP

In short, I tried to LD for the first time last night, somehow it was a success and I got another one 5 minutes after that. Seeing my success I tried to do it again today, except now I'm awake (I'm pretty sure I've been the whole time) and some part of me is LDing. I can see from his point of view when I close my eyes but I cant hear him and we're currently communicating on a yes = spawn a girl, no = spawn a boy basis. I've tried to get him to kill himself, blink, close his eyes, have sex, literally everything I can think of. I LD'd the first time using WILD, and I'm pretty sure this time it might have been DILD for him. I cant join him(technically me) and I'm just trying to get him to do as many extreme or dangerous things as he can right now.

If you have any suggestions, I'd honestly love to hear them now.

I gotta be honest I really don't know what you should do... I've never come across a situation like this.

But whoa... it sounds like you sorta accidentally created a tulpa...
A tulpa is a second consciousness within your mind. People deliberately create these. They have a life of their own in the mind.

Another possibility is that you're still half asleep. If you are just still half asleep, then it sounds like you gotta get more sleep.

But still I'm gonna try get this thread into the attention of people who understand tulpas well, as they might be able to recognize whether it's a tulpa or not.

Oh I just got some solid advice from someone who understands tulpas.

Indeed you might just be half-asleep. But if you keep considering it to be a separate consciousness, then it will form into a tulpa. So to avoid that, stop considering it to be a split conscience. Just realize that your head is a bit fuzzy right now, you gotta get more sleep.

Oh dear that does not sound very fun. I'm honestly just gonna sleep tonight and hope that either goes away or "comes back" when I wake up.

hmm.. if it helps dispel any fear I'd like to point out that when you dream most of your dream characters are different aspects of yourself which you are not experiencing the dream through at the moment. In that sense, even if there is a dream character version of you that you are not embodying it's mostly just behaving like other dream characters. If one thing I noticed when being disembodied in dreams when I'm lucid is that I have greater influence over the dream than when I'm anchored into the dream via a dream body. As if the gap between my subconscious and conscious influence is closing in. Just like how you can visualize anything while awake.

I have had what I call "Visualization Dreams" for lack of a better wording where I'm detached from the dream. I can immerse myself into any of the dream character's perspective or stay detached as an omnipresent observer. When I'm in the detached state I can even open my eyes and move about in bed and still have the dream going in my head as if a visualization. I can just close my eyes and immerse myself in the dream again. I have even gotten up and walked around and then gotten back to bed with the dream still going on with my eyes open. However, I know for a fact my sleep state is very fickle and I can't really go back to sleep if I really woke up. So it's possible that I may have been still asleep and have not awoken or even walked about. It sort of sounds like you were having a similar experience.

Are you able to confirm you really woke? Is it possible you dreamt of being awake while you were still dreaming?

My question is how are you experiencing this? Is it like a voice in your head? If you close your eyes, do you see dream imagery? This is going to sound weird but try to put a pen or pencil in your non dominant hand and see what comes out. If you are willing to do this, it might help that part of you come out more, since the non dominant hand can connect to the non dominant hemisphere of the brain and help it come out more. I did this for years and you would be amazed at the supernatural things that came out of my left hand. Maybe it's your inner child talking to you because you opened a rift to your subconscious.

EDIT - I also wanted to add, hopefully before you read it, that I used to experience this part of myself more as a separate mind. But now we're much more of a "unit". It took a while to integrate this and I didn't expect it to ever really become integrated. I thought I would always feel like there was a separate person living inside me. I think there always will be, but now we're a lot less separate.

Also good grounding techniques include playing with soil, like gardening. And putting your back to a tree, and just leaning against it. Or laying directly on the Earth. The Earth has electrical grounding properties and when we have all these devices and waves in the air our systems can get too "floaty" with electrical activity. I have definitely experienced the grounding power of physically connecting with the Earth. I actually have a good friend who sleeps in a tent year-round and if he sleeps in a regular house the electricity makes him feel sick. So you can see what we're desensitized to.

      Hahahaha exactly, Labyrinth

Btw in case anyone is wondering, he took a nap and the weirdness indeed went away.
He PMed me afterwards. Dunno if he'll come back here, so I just thought I'd let everyone know he's okay.
