      Quick question.

Hello! So I just had a dream in which I was dreaming about lucid dreaming. I was asking all of my questions and doing trying to complete goals as if I was in a lucid dream. I was trying to expect a notebook in my hand. Which would not appear (I was planning on using my notebook as a medium for questions) I tried shouting them out to the dream didn't work. But there was dream characters who answered my questions. I asked some questions. One question I asked was personal. I received an answer to that personal question. However is that answer valid. Is this the same thing as being lucid and asking that personal question. Or is that answer not valid because I was technically not lucid?

The answer is valid. It is this the same thing as being lucid and asking that personal question. The answer was based on what was on your mind at that time. It was a personal answer to a personal question.

As far as summoning a notebook, I would just blindly reach out to the side and either grab the notebook as if it is floating there or have it handed to me.

Good job on your successful dream incubation

The answers you get back in lucid dreams (or any other type of dream) are not necessarily valid, the way the answer you get from a wise person in real life may be, or even the way you might give yourself a valid answer if you just ask yourself pointblank. Dream answers might be noise, or maybe they give something to think about to help you find the answer. Or they give you a different perspective. Or they might be clearly valid.

I hope you got what you were looking for.

The answer I got was straight to the point. Nothing to decipher. In fact I didn't even haft to finish my question in order for it to be answered. And I did indeed get what I was looking for.

I am not sure, but they are saying that you can get the same response in regular dreams as if you were lucid dreaming.

      Clover956,
      Great! That makes things easier

      Durza,
No, Clover summarized it properly, though.

But if you got confused by me congratulating Clover on his dream incubation, what I meant is that they obviously made the intent to have a "lucid dream" and ask certain questions and they did successfully incubate that dream.
If you ever dream of lucid dreaming, that is a good sign. You have successfully incubated a dream, much like if you had intended to dream about visiting Ancient Egypt and it happened. These successes deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

"Lucidity" is a multi-spectrum; that is, as a dreamer, there are many qualities you might be aspiring to and they can be present in different intensities and different frequencies.
You deserve to be proud when any of these qualities are present, not just when you can define the dream as "lucid".

For example, if you have a non-lucid dream where you have good memory of real life... great!

Okay, thanks, that makes sense, but sometimes, as in this case, I just had the impression that I was dreaming about a lucid dream, bc when i woke up I felt that and its hard to explain but I don't really know it. I think it might have been, but I don't really know, which makes it hard.
