Why do we dream about being naked? What do dreams of nudity mean?

Coincidentally, one of my dreams this past night did involve being naked in my kitchen; it's not like it's never happened, since you can't actually see in if the blinds are down, and I only live with my partner, there's really no problem in my being naked anywhere in the house; but in this dream occurrence it did happen that the blinds were replaced with curtains that were wide open. This is in the third dream of my latest DJ entry, xlix.Quote:

Though to be honest, for myself, the state of being naked in dreams is not that common, and doesn't really feel much at all like when I'm not clothed in waking life, perhaps since I'm simply not as aware and my real body is sleeping under covers where there's no wind or rushing movement sensations as there would be in a real-life naked scenario.

I don't have many nude dreams myself these days, they were a little more common many years ago but turned out to be a very handy lucidity cue. Thanks for your insights!
