      Ex covered in blood

      . It was about my ex. My first love. I was with him for three years from about age 18-21. He died a year and a half ago or so.

      In the dream I was with him. He was sitting my a camp fire (homeless maybe) not sure. But one minute he looked fine. The next he’s covered in blood and I’m holding his hand telling him it’s going to be ok. He’s going to be ok. And then I woke up. Any ideas to this? It’s been over 10 years when we dated. Thank you!!

      Maybe your mind is just trying to process that fact that he's dead?

      The other thing I'm thinking is – he might represent the future that you envisioned when you were with him. Does that make sense? I mean, when the 2 of you were together, you probably expected to stay together and build a future. That might have remained in your mind as a possibility, even after you stopped seeing each other. Especially since he was your first love, it was the first time you were looking at a future with a particular person. So maybe the dream is your mind's way of realizing that now that future is definitely gone. It could represent the 'death' of that possible future.
