Goal for 2019?!
Hi,
Has anyone had any lucids this year so far? January has come and almost gone. I only had a few brief ones. Of course, I wasn't trying nor meditating lately. Too busy with work and tending to ailing parents. What about you? Off to a good start with lucids?
My goal for this year is to finally be able to distinguish between OBE and LD i.e. possibly validate OBE without a doubt. My secondary goal is to be fully lucid throughout very long dreams.

Hey lucidbunnie, I've had five LDs since January 1, 2019! Sounds like you have some nice goals. Long lucids wuold be great too. Best of luck to your situation with your parents.

Hey, Lucidbunnie. It hasn’t been that great a month for lucid dreams for me either so far – just one, but I almost completely forgot it before recording.
One thing I’d like to do in 2019 is to do more with music in my dreams—not in any one specific way, but just as many as I can manage. This past year, I’ve had more non-lucid dreams having to do with music than I have in a while without really trying for it. I’ve even managed to transcribe melodies I heard in dreams a couple times, and being lucid at the time would make things like that much easier.
I do wonder, though, whether so much time studying music while awake is making it harder to become lucid. If all the news articles are to be believed, what I’m doing is nothing less than rewiring my own brain, and I can see how messing with things on a deep structural level might keep my sleeping mind too preoccupied to become lucid. Perhaps I’d just be better off incubating dreams for now and see if I can catch it in progress.

Ganbatte MoMo-chan.^^ I know you can do it.
If you still take sleeping pills on regular basis, there is a drug you can take. It has practical use for nerve damage, it's a combination of b1,b6,b12 in bigger dose. It's very popular, so maybe you can find one in you local store or you can buy them one by one. Mine contain 40mg b1, 90mg b6, 250mcg b12. They will improve your dream recall and dream memory intention.
In Dec I had 12 lucid dreams, which bested my previous record: 11 in Jun 2013. This Jan I broke my record once more to 15^^', but still wasn't enough to reach my goal, so I'm gonna try even harder and praying I do not break before reaching my goal.
My Prime goal is to become "whole again".
Me Secondary goal is to have a long conversation with a girl^^

January was a particularly dry month for lucid dreams, just 1. But it's coming back...
My dream recall is pretty bad right now. I don't have a long term goal, just to get the dream recall back up and running, and be more consistent with my journalling and dream related habits in general. For lucids I'm going to be experiencing with mirrors a little bit.

I had no lucid dreams (that I can recall) in January, even though I was trying a few techniques including MILD, wake-back-to-bed, finger-induced-lucid-dreaming, and meditating early in the month. I had a spontaneous lucid dream just a few days ago from a nose-pinch RC. It was longer than my first lucid dream, but it didn't feel as "vivid" or exciting (perhaps I was able to stay asleep for longer because the experience wasn't as exciting). In the near future, I'll probably focus on dream-journalling/dream-recall, reality checks, and MILD.

I have only had a few Semi lucid dreams since January. I am very much a beginning re starting my LD journey. I used to have lucid dreams all the time as a child and loved it. My goal for this year is to get to the point where my practice is steady and I can have LDs very often. I want to use them for personal development and for performance practices (I'm a vocalist) as well as just for fun! I'm happy to see there is a lot of activity in this forum. I hope to learn a lot from you all.
