Genre Specific Lucid Dreaming - Dreaming for Gamers and Movie Lovers!
As a seasoned 32 year lucid dreamer, one of the areas that hooked my interest in dreaming stems from Entertainment. I was always that kid who wanted to enter the worlds of movies, cartoons, and games that I played. Back in the 1980s, we didn't have the high-fidelity graphics and virtual reality gear that our current generation benefits from however I noticed that wish to be in these fantasy worlds was answered in my dreams.
By wanting to be in the world of Star Wars (the original trilogy), I would find myself in a dream where the dream genre was the Star Wars Universe. I learned very young that external influences from my waking life influenced the content of my dream life and started to train myself for dreaming.
I treat dreams both as an art-form and an Entertainment System which still has better graphics than modern-day CGI and best of all, it is Nature's Perfected Virtual Reality simulator and all it takes is Consciousness to play. Everything for me is about how to make the dream life the best life so I get into better-than-life dreaming or BTL dreams. Why not, once you know how to control and program your dreams, it's can be the best form of entertainment and virtual reality on steroids. This is how I train to dream in the genre of a video-game or movie.

Scientific Research proving video game content influences our dreams

(I just bought one for my PS4 so I will be using that to train using my cognitive mapping technique.)
Here is a thread on DV where I go deep into the Art of Dreaming, Dream Training and Dream Programming. The more we train this skill, the more it gives back because never forget... you are the dreamer limited only by your self-imposed limits, experiences, and imagination.
