this is something i have wondered for a long time.

i have always had lucid dreams. almost every night. 3-5 dreams a night.
i have never had to think about it. and i have nevered practiced anything.
      is this common?
sometimes i find if i think about them really fast in my head until i fall asleep i go back to some of the same places i always go. and i know what happened last time i was there.
when i go to fly. i feel it in my feet. and i do it when i wish.
i can feel alot of things but not to a super intense limit.
a handful of my dreams have collided with my life in the most amazing ways.
      what is that all about?
there is alot of other things id like to talk about but id like to know if it is anything.

No. Consider yourself lucky. Some people find lucid dreaming extremely easy, and others find it fiendishly difficult. Most people seem to lie somewhere in between.

Dreams can shed so much light on what we experience in our waking lives because when we're asleep we have a chance to run through our knowledge and our experiences uninhibited by the distractions and worries of everyday life. Our subconscious gets center stage and we get a chance to ponder all the things we're just too busy to deal with while awake.
“The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams” —Rush

      God Damnit. . . .

      I'm jealous as hell...
I only have LDs about once or twice a month

Actually, I used to do a bit better than that, but now I guess I'm at a low point
      in Lucid Dreaming.

im not sure what could have triggered it but it might have been a horrifying dream i had at 5 or 6 years old. the weird thing is. it wasnt a dream. i actually awoke from one night in bed to find a horrifying scene in front of me that only lasted about 6 seconds. but i remember it clearly and will never forget. i was thinking at the time so i know i couldnt have been dreaming at that young. maybe it was the first time i actually started this amazing experience.

Those experiences are called "Night Terrors." They are common in children. A lot of times, the child will wake up from a nightmare, get out of bed, and still be seeing the images of the nightmare as they stumble out of their rooms, their eyes wide open. Escape from a nightmare, or even a night terror, often leads to an understanding of "hey, I can get out of this dream if I want to!!" when you're little. I think it is up to the child to keep in touch with this awareness of being "awake inside of a dream," and that leads to naturals like you and me. Unfortunately, I lost a bit of my control somewhere between about 11-16, but I've recently started studying lucid dreaming and am starting to surpass the control I had when I was a kid.

In other words, you're alright, man. Be glad you have the control over the lucidity that you have. Many of us are working hard for it.

      Welcome, brainwashfox!
You are not alone in that....I actually had LDs when I was about 3 years old as well.
And being a natural is a gift that you can share w/others, since there are very few in this world. Excellent!
