what are the foods that you should not eat before bed that reduce your chance of becoming lucid?

Well, I don't know. Any food affects people differently. That is not an easy answer.

I know that Foods rich in tryptophan/ serotonin/ Vitamin B are good for recall. However, there is no special food/ or magic pills that will make become lucid. You still have to all the other stuff too.

I would not eat canned food, Processed foodsor heavy sugar. IMO.

In my experience eating carbs during the day, and eating a protein rich fatty meal for dinner helps with dream recall, sleep quality, and subsequently lucidity aswell. Eating sugar and carbs before bed will deplete nutrients and certain b vitamins related to dream recall and rem like choline b6 thiamine etc but not really sure. It seems like cherry juice, especially fermented cherry juice helps me sleep deeply and induced vivid dreams increasing the chances of lucidity

Maybe we need to keep an eye on what happens when we eat our holiday feasts.

Oh, definitely. From anecdote, insomnia always seems to follow after indulging during the Holidays.

Should probably go without saying, but anything with caffeine (eg. coffee, chocolate, certain teas) isn't going to allow for restful sleep when consumed before bed. So avoid that.
