Just a few LD questions :)

I'm totally new at all of this, and a few nights ago I sort of had a very weak LD but it lasted about 5 seconds and then I woke up. I had just realized that I was dreaming because what was happening was just too good to be true, and then everything faded to gray and felt far away, and then I woke up. I read about LDing last year when my friends and I were getting into it, but last night was the first time that anything even remontely LDish happened, and I wasn't even trying.

But anyway, I just have a few questions.

1) I was reading over these boards and I see that lots of people have people chasing them in their dreams and they're getting shot, stabbed, etc...Do these things just randomly happen to you while you're LDing, or do you have to sort of...'make' it happen?

2) If you were to get um, sexually involved in a LD, can it just be anybody? Like, if I got to where I could do that kind of thing, could I do it with, say, Johnny Depp? XD Have any of you had sex with celebrities in your dreams?

3) My mother, a few years ago, had a dream and she thinks that it was lucid. It was rather creepy, because the person that she was seeing and talking to in the dream was someone that had died in his sleep that night, and in the dream he was telling my mother things like, 'It's not your time to go now. Stay here on Earth and do good.' Was this an LD?

4) Ever since I was about 12 or so, I've been able to sort of feel myself waking up. I could be having a normal dream or even no dream at all, and sometimes I'll have this sense of conciousness and everything will be black and I'll kind of see myself shaking my head and I'll feel like I'm traveling through a tunnel and then I'll wake up. Is this some form of LD?

Sure, it can be with anybody, just bring them in your dream ( the best way for me, is to go looking with that person in mind.)

Did she know she was dreaming? Sounds to me like she was in another plane...

Are you sure you wake up? this is what I experience everytime I have a false awakening

1. Actually, many of these can be used as signs to induce LDs. Once you're lucid, though, the level of control you have can determine what happens during that time. I've never been threatened or harmed when I've been lucid, though during my normal dreams I have often been chased. However, every time I face the person who's chasing me, it's never as bad as I'd thought.

3. Lucidity = awareness you are dreaming. That's the only qualification for a lucid dream, though beyond that we enter the realm of theory.

4. There have been times where I've been aware that I'm coming out of a dream, but I've never experienced what you've mentioned. It's usually me coming from the dream back into my bed. As scorpify was saying, some of them could be false awakenings, so it'd be a good idea to do a reality check when you "wake up" just to see if you're awake or still dreaming.

You can do ANYTHING you want once you learn to control the dream. ANYTHING. YOU. WANT. Sky's the limit. If you wanted to, you could have an orgy with 12 Johnny Depps and then when you were done you could go have dinner with Johnny Depp and eat Johnny Depp flavoured food. :wink:
